Soldering SMD j201's using a cheap Amazon Hot Plate and Five Cats Pedals SMD Adapter Boards

Just a quick video on testing out a cheap Amazon Hot Plate with our SMD Adapter boards - it actuall works really well!

A few notes:
- Make sure the solderpaste is upto room temp before getting it out of the tube...it's hard enough as it is!

- The Hot plate has no indicator to being on and has no on/off switch. I added an inline lamp switch to at least be able to turn it on off quickly if needs be.

- I cut the end of an old plectrum which i've found to be great for spreading the paste!

- You can see in the video im not overly neat with the paste, i should really be using a stencil but for 3 pads...it doesn't make a vast amount of difference (i know, i know!)

- The hotplate...including its feet...get hot! so make sure its on a surface thats heatproof....not like i did the first time :)

The hot plate does make it far easier for doing batches of these in 10's/20's than trying to do them all by hand!
