Amen, Amen & Amen. I've done worship in many different churches, white, Hispanic & black & multi-cultural. I try mightily to walk in the spirit & most time, I'm good. He is ON POINT about what he says. I've been guilty of playing for adoration. Not lately. God had to remove me from worship until I could my attitude right. I LOVE doing worship & I miss doing it. But truly, if it's not about God, he will shut that door. He will not allow you to talk Holy but not do Holy. I'm ready for it again, but I totally get why some Pastors will hold off allowing you on a worship team until they get to know you. Works for me.

I’m wondering how much time you spend promoting those preachers and music ministries that do display a heart for God. It seems counterproductive to constantly highlight what’s wrong when there are so many doing right and need a platform to help spread that message.

I changed the title because William McDowell asked me to and I respect him. I'm glad that everyone was able to receive the message from the video. Yes, sometimes clickbait is used strategically—to draw people into a conversation that many don’t want to have, but one that needs to happen. So it's a way that I force conversations that people wouldn't have if you just had them straight up because people have itching ears.

The main point of the video was clear: what William McDowell said is absolutely true. I agree that too many people worship the worship and desire to be worshipped.

There are far too many people who know how to "do church," sound churchy, and even sound anointed—but God is nowhere in it. This is a necessary conversation, even if it's uncomfortable.

In the Christian industry—especially in music—there are people who sound anointed, who make music that stirs emotion, but God has nothing to do with it. That’s why the second clip in the video was included. It showed a clear abomination—something that might sound good to the undiscerning ear, but in God’s eyes, it’s deception.

It’s easy to look at that second clip and say, “That’s wrong.” But Jesus warned us about something deeper: the outside of the cup might be clean, but the inside is filthy. That’s exactly what’s happening in many pulpits and music stages today. On the surface, everything seems right—good messages, good music, even emotional impact—but in the spirit, they resemble the second video. That’s the point. It may not be visible in the natural, but it’s real in the spirit.
