As HUGE spaceship noise pilot for many decades, I used to own a Multivox Multi-delay as an integral part of my late 70's thru the 80's rig. ( crank that input level & db switch to 11 to overdrive an old Marshall Plexi) I digress.... I will now share with you how to make the ULTIMATE Spaceship noises with that particular tape echo! I discovered how to do this as a teenager with too much time on my hands & after ingesting too much psychedelic 'inspiration' on a daily basis for 3 months! Now.....setting the repeats on 10 whilst manipulating the delay time is kindergarten level noise making. Works great with any tape echo. How about a Star Trek Transporter? Funny you should ask! Because that multiple inputs & outputs. Take a short patch cable and PLUG THE OUTPUT INTO THE INPUT. NOW......ROTATE the delay time up the unit should self oscillate even without the repeats turned up. Slowly turn the delay time down as you start hearing a VERY familiar chime noise. GUYS THIS IS WORTH DOING AN ADENDUM VIDEO! Its the exact sound of the STARSHIP ENTERPRISE'S TRANSPORTER!!!!! Josh, my Multivox, 85 Fender Super Champ & 1969
100 watt Marshall Super lead, were stolen in PHX AZ 1989 after a gig with my band Mordor at the Sage & Sand. Maybe I could borrow yours and transport myself back there? It was an inside job (maybe a viewer knows? Mine had duct tape on tne left side! I used to ummm stare at the tape intestines many a night! As a polish guitar player i can say that the led thing appears only on those pedals (KOD 1st run). They are very cheap to get, but while ago polish people started to collecting them. Cheers!

I have a Berringer Mixer that all on it's own can replicate most of the tones here. To top that I have a Korg Synthesizer with LFO's and voltage FO's that I can run my electric guitar signal through. Then also my Marshall MG100HFX has many FX's all on it's own. So I can do shoegaze and spaceship sound all day long.
What's funny is that until recently I always ran a clean signal, not even any reverb! Actually I still do but when I'm in the mood I can make all the strange sounds I want too! -Peter age 71
My Fender Campion 20 even has superb delays w chorus that does some great shoegaze sounds. I can bring this into my bedroom and shoegaze myself to sleep!

2 of my favorite pedal tubers! Ryan brings the good questions and Josh helps him with a pedal to answer his question. i enjoy when they team up!

The led is off on the KOD so you don't go blind on a dark stage like when you have a pedal with the blue led ray of death. Seems like led off when it's on would be a better solution to the super bright led issues. With it off, you have no issues seeing what's written on the pedal for adjustments.

The Colorsound Echo seems like something that MGMT would use

I wish that the Valhalla FreqEcho plugin would be made as a pedal. Because that one does spaceship sounds.

I bout a used flashback that had soft Velcro last week…. For a few minutes I questioned if I was the problem, and then promptly replaced it with the hard side. Thank you for confirming my Velcro concepts, and reminding me that there are people who do it wrong, and people who do it right.

That ElectroEcho would be amazing for dark droning soundscapes, think guitar isn't really the right instrument for it weirdly
