You guys don't have a clue, stick with your boring mustangs
ОтветитьWhose the BALD guy with BIG NOSE
IS that SANGAVEESE
Yah you guys are right! I would rather get a HYUNDAI or KIA that catches FIRE LOL! :)
ОтветитьPlease stop.. you are comparing an ALFA to a GENESIS, HYUNDAI, KIA, MAZDA.. this Stelvio has more engineering and more advanced technology in a 10 year old platform that all the new vehicles you just mentioned.. COMBINED!.. you are obviously ignorant and no automotive knowledge. The vehicle is 10 years old and it is still best in class in all categories!
It beats its counterparts in MERCEDES, BMW, AUDI, KIA, GENESIS, MAZDA.. I mean I could go on!.. Best in CLASS
0-60
TOP speed
handling
steering ratio
Winter traction
NURBURGRING time
BEST MPG
you name it this car owns it 10 years later
Tells you how far behind the rest of the world is in car manufacturing and engineering
Once again the Italian lead and everyone else follows!
its pretty funny...but sad that the GERMANS, JAPS and KOREANs couldn't build an SUV this good even if you showed them!
130k miles as of yesterday on my ‘19 Stelvio Ti Sport and have loved absolutely every mile. Typically I can handle the dramatic complaints in this channel’s reviews, but every one of these were so far fetched. The door pockets don’t “fit stuff”? I can fit about 6 water bottles in one door… No one is buying a compact luxury crossover, especially a Stelvio, because they want Tahoe-like utility.
ОтветитьThe interior looks great. Idk what you're talking about lol
ОтветитьYour critiques about the interior are valid. Ironically after 2021, Alfa CHEAPENED their interiors. Everything became black on grey on black on grey....My custom ordered 2017 Giulia Quad had a leather dash and door tops with contrast red stitching everywhere (steering wheel, gear shift lever, doors, seats, dash) and the seats were leather and alcantara....My 2020 Stelvio Ti Sport had a rosso interior on a pearl white exterior (Trofeo White)...the seats were red, the door cards had red accents, the lower dash was red, I optioned the leather dash and door tops, which also had contrast red stitching as did the steering wheel and gear shift lever...I just traded both of those cars for a 2023 Stelvio Quad (brand new left over with 21 inch rims and Sparco Racing seats, all for $ 20 K off sticker) and I got the Sparco racing seats because otherwise the interior of this amazing $95 K machine looked like a regular $ 50 K Stelvio Veloce !! My 2024 Giulia Quad is a "Carbon Edition" with carbon mirror caps, exposed carbon roof (AMAZING FEATURE) and matte gold brake calipers with red seats in order to add some color to the interior, however, no contrast stitching ANYWHERE and no red accents on the door cards or lower dash. It literally looks like the seats were plucked out of another car and installed into a regular Giulia. The death of Sergio Marchionne was and is the biggest problem for Alfa Romeo. He LOVED Alfa and he wanted to give the big dawg Germans the "Middle Finger" and that's why he created the Quadrifoglio versions and in the case of the Giulia, released it first. He put the Germans on notice and they crapped their pants....alas, the evolution of his dream died with him....
FORZA ALFA BABY !!
I tried to buy an Alfa a few times and I just couldn’t do it. It just really was not that great build quality or drivability. It just felt really cheap to me.
Ответитьnot a fan of this latest exterior redesign, especially the 'Lexus look' taillights
ОтветитьOh Mark les not compare any Japa car with those Euro trash, thank you
Ответитьreview the standard giulia. Please. It's a hard hitter.
ОтветитьWho the hell would buy an Italian daily driver in America? LOL
ОтветитьThis is what I LOVE about Savagegeese. Frank, unobjective opinions without the PR-mandated BS. Thanks for telling it like it is.
ОтветитьI agree on all points you make. That being said, it sure looks good.
ОтветитьIt should be either the diesel or Quadrifoglio. These are the two ends of the spectrum to get the taste right.
I had the oportunity to drive back-to-back Q4 and then the diesel. And Alfa has used the beemer platvorm well, to hide the extremeness of this. It actually can be very fast - but also completely civil.
But it lacks a little "Alfaness". One would say that for an Alfa it is even a little boring. And given that the reliability of them is pretty good (better than beemer or audi even) then it´s more like on par with koreans or japs. And that is not a good thing.
But a quadrifoglio with light brown Milano leather interior and remus or akrapovic exchaust would totally murder our bank account.
As an owner that bought a 21 sligtly used sub-$30k (50% off $61k sticker) I agree with most of the points in this video. That said I have driven many cars in this class and this is by far my favorite one. I was able to get one with the adaptive suspension and it makes all the difference, especially when changing drive modes. A couple of things you didn't talk about in the shop (my favorite segment) is the carbon fiber driveshaft and the multi-air system of the engine that is somewhat unique compared to other manufacturers. Otherwise great video!
ОтветитьI'm disappointed they brake down the marriage between the bosh ZF gearbox and the motorengineering. I believe they've hit that one straight down the line looking at other premium and non competitors. Also you have to appreciate this interior. It's minimalistic but functional and classy. No glossy.. no overload of touchscreens. How can you not appreciate this..?
ОтветитьI've had my guilia for 4 years. I absolutely love it. And oh zero issues.
ОтветитьAnother KAREN/JOO review.
Fourteen and a half minutes of VERBAL DIARRHOEA 🤮
Then the truth comes out in the last 20 seconds.
Typical American Wood Ducks💩
The Stelvio passes the moose test. How many CUVs pass it?
ОтветитьSimply the best - no other car in the same category has "the driving skills" of the Stelvio and Giulia :))
ОтветитьIs it people still driving this thing 😞 I don't believe CR ever recommending for you to buy them during to a shitty reliability 🚗😁😭🤣
ОтветитьJudging from what I read below, it appears they all seem to disagree with you! Alfa owners are a passionate group and I think that the drivetrain is superior to even to the newest cars. Bought my 18 guilia ti carbon used with 10,000 miles and it has been faultless since. I accompanied a friend today to look at an Audi and BMW 3 series and I did not feel any need to make a change. I always look back at my car when I walk away and think it is the best looking.
ОтветитьI just don't think you guys understand this car. I'm on my second Stelvio and still, 6 years in and happy with my 2021 that I just purchased off lease, I still look back at it, it's that handsome. I've also driven a bunch of other SUVs and this is by far better-driving than most. Also, there's some big improvements in more recent years, I'd say from 2020 on, that further refine and improve the car's responsiveness and handling. Driving position is also top notch with the sport seats.
ОтветитьDid it fall behind with styling? Or did it get ahead? When I look at new Mercedes, Audi, Bmw and quite a few others I'd rather pick the Alfa tbh
ОтветитьAre there any cars that these two do like? 😅
ОтветитьWhyTF does anyone wanting a performance oriented vehicle buy any SUV? And if you do want performance, still buy an SUV and drive it like a performance car, you just look like a d..khead to everyone else on the road. But if you want an agile, practical SUV that looks better than everything else in its class, the Stelvio is pretty decent choice. Personally though, I could never walk past the Giulia to get in a Stelvio. But then I live in Australia, where every major city has at least a couple of independent non-dealer Alfa workshops staffed by experts who actually understand every model going back to the '50s and who aren't flummoxed by anything that doesn't have pushrods. Unlike Billy-bob and Cleetus down at the Jeep service department. So I feel for you poor fellas Stateside.
ОтветитьLove our Stelvio. It handles great, looks beautiful, and love the tactile switches on the interior. At the end of the lease we bought it even after driving other competitors to replace the Stelvio. Newer cars are becoming more like a car seat in front of a large LCD which is horrible. My 2024 BMW M440i is going to be traded in soon for something with less screen.
Car journalists keep complaining about lack of tech. All we need is a CarPlay screen and that’s it. Nobody needs the dash to be a LCD and you guys make it as if a digital tach and speedometer is an upgrade and it’s not.
I haven’t seen this gay couple for years. So glad they are still together.
ОтветитьPut a Nero Edizione package and the interior looks 💣
ОтветитьI had one of these for just over a year. you had to use paddle shifters to really enjoy it. overall id lease one again
ОтветитьThe cynicism is at max levels here. This is and will always be a solid product compared to true commodity cars. Do you guys not realize literally all of Maseratis cars are Alfa Romeo hand me downs?
To think they gushed over the grecale with worst driving dynamics but liked the screens.
Want a boring SUV with stupid ipad? Buy the Bimmer/RAV4 etc.. Want something FUN? Take a look at the Alfa. The paint options and the styling alone will draw me to this brand, but Americans are boring as hell, they will buy the same old boring white/grey/black ipad, and that's why fun, innovative, emotional cars just don't sell here.
ОтветитьHad Stelio 2021 for 3 years!!!! No problems at all! Great great suv!!!!!
ОтветитьAlmost 6 years on ours and 90k miles. No issues. Nothing but fun do drive. I love the simple controls. Driving dynamic is the selling point. I have to have an SUV for the storage space, and this feels and drives like a sport sedan which is nice. Very happy with it and would recommend it to anyone.
ОтветитьGotta say - I agree with you guys near 100% of the time, but this is a rare miss. Is an X3 interior really actually nicer? More usable sure, but the X3 always been that way. Powertrain cal felt no different than a 2018 x3 to me.
This always strikes me as the alternative value play over the Macan.
In my late 30s I've by now learned to not get triggered by anything posted on social media. But being an owner of the same car, I have never felt so disrespected, triggered, angry as I've after seeing this reviee video..
I'm not a car expert and this is like 6th car which I've owned in my life but I know when a car is a driver's car. You have just presented one false fact after the other or disfigured others to suit your narrative
You know why everything is so basic in this car, because you enjoy the drive and don't even look for those updated creature comforts the sole purpose of which is to distract you.
This is the best handling, dynamic, reasonablly affordable car I've ever driven in my life.. The pickup, the brakes, the shifts, turning, curving in corners passing you name it, there is nothing this car don't excels at
Putting it in D mode and I've crushed so many stop light races against 2 door coupes much lighter than this.. Or cars with v6.. This is a pocket rocket and you probably ate too much birthday cake and cookies at that children's birthday party that you were so high during the making of this review
If there are any savage cars, this is one of them. When I'm driving it in D, i have so much confidence doing crazy things.
The only thing lazy and uninspiring here is your video. You didn't even do the sound system test which boasts multiple speakers and a subwoofer.
I've watched your videos with utmost delight and always thought maybe thats just how that other car is.. But after seeing this video, I'm questioning your judgement on even those other cars
If nothing else, just read the comments, 'read the room' and realize how wrong you are.. Most od the ppl like me have had it for a long time and have similar driving experience
Issue an apology or The geese are coming for you to bring shame to their name
I'm honestly surprised Dodge didn't turn this into a bigger Hornet. A Murder Hornet?
ОтветитьWith all due respect, Mark clearly missed his up shifts. This 2.0t has a low red line and fuel cutoff around 5,900. You can hear that wheezy sound in the background on the drive. Thar slows the upshifts dramatically. The engine and ZF 8-speed are eager partners in my 2019.
ОтветитьThe Alfa handles, thats what it's designed to do. What I hear from this channel is constant noise & negative feedback. Perhaps you have run your course.
ОтветитьThe interior is simply beautiful, feels like sitting in a car, not like the other ones they mentioned where it feels like sitting in an office in front of a huge screen. Alfa Romeo is still a CAR even as an SUV. You guys have no idea.
ОтветитьAudi's mid 2010s gauge cluster design destroys this.
ОтветитьWho is this guy reviewing this car??? Lol, the best SUV in the market threaten like this. Chunk of plastic in the interior???? I don’t know if this guys knows the difference between premium materials and the shitload of BMW plastic in the new X3 for example. Unbelievable incompetence
ОтветитьTheir dealerships are closing down one after another.
Not economical, not technical, not filthy luxury.
I normally don't disagree with these guys, but I rented a pre-facelift Stelvio in 2023 when I was in the Colorado Rockies and thought it was wonderful. It wasn't the sweetest engine in the world, but I thought the transmission was well tuned and surprisingly snappy on downshifts. Also, the column mounted shift paddles were a delight. It's definitely more fun to drive than my 2019 CX-5 Signature. If I cared about "fun" in my daily, I would much rather have the Stelvio.
ОтветитьI would take a VW Golf R long before considering this. Similar space and much better driving dynamics.
ОтветитьUsually these guys are on the money with car reviews...but somehow they got this one incredibly wrong! I had a 2019 Stelvio that I miss so much I recently tried buying it back from the last owner years later. You guys are great, but you are wrong on this one!
ОтветитьHow do they get away with naming this a Stelvio when Moto Guzzi has a motorcycle with the same name? I realize that one is a car and the other a bike, but they are still both motor vehicles. I would figure the trademark would still apply.
Ответить
