Wow. In the same week Democrat senators demonize beer, we get a tedtalk with a nerd whining about how legal weed hurts black kids and the LGBT community. Sure hope the left runs with this!
ОтветитьWeed was just half a percent?
That’s very misleading and I am concerned about potency and CBD:THC ratio
THIS IS SO TRUE I am 60 years old and smoked a lot of weed as a teen. I have lived in CO for the last 30 years and it is pure B.S. kids don't have a chance today... politicians and corporations that's all that matters $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
ОтветитьIt's false information when he said you can't get high off of CBD. Try a completely empty stomach on a 12+ hour fast + 1500 mg of CBD full spectrum MCT oil and tell me you're not high.
ОтветитьWow, so true!
ОтветитьWhy are we listening to this guy? its all nonsense....
ОтветитьA very thoughtful talk! I liked his authenticity and candid demeanor. Plus, I never questioned the unwholesome repercussions of cannabis commercialization on society at large.
ОтветитьTHC is medical. When you have serious anxiety and anger issues and the only thing that can make your mind shut down is THC.
ОтветитьYeah, I used to love weed. Now it's too potent to the point where it isn't even enjoyable. I used to be able to roll a joint (a thing of the past for sure) smoke the whole thing, enjoy the flavor, then get on with my day while being fully functional and feeling better than I would otherwise.
Now, one hit from whatever type of alien looking apparatus people are using now and it's a full blown acid trip. I don't smoke weed anymore. It was enough to make me quit. Even when mixed with other herbs to dilute it, it doesn't feel the same at all. It feels more like I've poisoned myself.
When he said almost all the medicinal aspects lye in CBD I knew this was going to be ridiculous but wow jut wow. There is a butt load of lies here folks.
ОтветитьWas this just a “coming out” video? Or?
ОтветитьWhat a dope(pun intended)
ОтветитьWhat a dope(pun intended)
ОтветитьRegardless of how true his facts were, he got what he wanted. To start a discussion about cannabis placement in society and the social impacts of commercialization, while polarizing medical vs recreational use.
ОтветитьI’m not saying he’s not stating all the facts here and I’m not entirely surprised to hear the statistics but a robust claim of a 58% increase in African Americans being charged with weed crimes should really come with citations. It’s late now but I will definitely look into how these studies were performed first thing tomorrow. Really curious about the validity of such info, if it’s true...it’s absolutely crazy.
ОтветитьAnd it's on the official TED channel, what a shame! First of all, THC is the most medicinal part of hemp and no matter how much medicinal CBD is, today it's used to cloud the fact that THC cures cancer and has different magnificent features (watch RUN FROM THE CURE and there are hundreds if not thousands of articles on pubmed supporting claims made in that documentary) and he also lies about hemp having less than half percent of THC before 70s, because even technical cannabis has more of it and you cannot get high by smoking it. And I've been only 3 minutes through, so I only can imagine what pile of lies has he stuck there in the other twelve minutes.
ОтветитьAnother person spewing the wrong information. "CBD is where almost all of the medicinal properties lie" Beware of people like this.
ОтветитьWhen the guy said you could take a bath in cbd w/o getting high at all...guy doesn't actually know what he's talking about. Also he is right he talks like a preacher. Doesn't go over well with this subject matter.
Ответитьtotal misinformation, if u grow your own and don't heat the bud u get pure cbd and thca with no high...
Ответитьthis guy gets payed to talk about things he knows nothing about, period...
ОтветитьHad to take it to identity politics.
Sad day.
Dab better
Ответитьall these videos are Ted Left now....
ОтветитьSo you are saying that these "minorities" are more trouble... Well duh!
ОтветитьThis guy made 4 blatantly incorrect statements.
I was so hyped to see a unbiased and on point coverage of cannabis, but straight off the bat he make the ever popular statement, CBD is the only medicinal aspect of cannabis. Then the half of a percent nonsense that's been demolished over a decade ago(he really sounds like a puppet minded theist trying to argue that faith is fact)
I wonder if he's considered human evolution and the correlation it has with the world around us?
The pitfalls of cannabis will never be taken seriously as long as uneducated puppets like this keep getting platforms to spread their misinformation.
His points on capitalism are definitely relevant, but his far left NPC talking points are vastly outdated and the fact that he's too closed in to notice really sets the stage for corrupt capitalism.
4 min in and he hasn't said anything. TED talk used to be capped at 7/8 min. Get back to it.
ОтветитьI have to agree with many of the comments. I wanted to add that (as has been noted by others) the idea that CBD is medicine and THC is "high for fun" is wrong. As an MS patient I've read more than one article talking about what THC can do for my central nervous system.
ОтветитьDoes he know that CBD has some of the worst effects on people who have psychotic problems tho ? While THC doesnt.
ОтветитьThis guy is a total tool bag
ОтветитьLast point, this guys speech is a blatant attempt at getting around cannabis legalization by saying "We're not prohibiting cannabis. We're prohibiting THC!" Slithering tactics. Ben, we voted on it & we, the people have spoken. And don't think we aren't watching for ur next tactic: potency caps. Ugh! Just ugh. I thought you were better than this TedX.
Ответить100% THC is nowhere near as bad as 1/1,000,000,000,000% of Roundup.
Ответитьreally after recreational legalization, I cant find CBD without significant thc in my area since all the medical placed closed down. I would have to order it online and the price has skyrocketed. the best ratio I was able to find was 60/40 thc/cbd... I don't like being high, I just wanted the cbd for medicine. legalization has made that a bit more difficult
ОтветитьWow this guy has no idea what he is talking about.
ОтветитьThis talk is not well thought out. The high content of THC is the result of hybridization- not the pesticides or fertilizers. If you are criticizing the product as being “unnatural” than I think you should quit eating any food-plant or animal-produced by agriculture(all selectively hybridized for desired traits).
Also, the money is not only made on THC. CBD is a booming market. And THC also has medicinal benefits. Please do more research before you spread poorly thought out information.
Purdue Pharma story here .. Of course the same is happening cannabis.(tho not an addictive drug for many) Beat it by growing your own and/or supporting your local home grower!!!!!! answer is very simple here.
ОтветитьThis guy hasn't been to Champs or any events...Sooooo much CBD and CBD products it's ridiculous. "Things have changed! I'm scared and you should be too!" is the message I get from this guy...
ОтветитьHe was never a cool kid, bitter?
ОтветитьHe states argument upon argument without backing them up
Gives up statistics without sources
His only message is cannabis is bad
Come on man...
what is he fighting for? sounded like he legit threw random facts with no background knowledge in no correlation to eachother
ОтветитьCannabis is brilliant says The Buddha.
ОтветитьSpeech written by him, edited by big pharmaceutical money. Vaulted for ten years, updated to sound current and put on hold for another two before placing on YT
ОтветитьThe potency was definitely higher than 10% long before Colorado legalized it. I remember seeing high times testing potency at around 20% back in the early 2000's. I have a close friend with a strain of Hash plant that has been maintained by clone for 25 years that he had tested at 19%. I'm also positive no one I know who has ever been a real pot smoker has ever referred to it as dope which this douche has done in other interviews. I bet this clown has never touched it. Also the reason that most dispensaries are opened in low income neighborhoods is due to the fact that those are the areas that need tax revenue. Wealthy and or conservative towns opt to not have recreational dispensaries because they don't need the taxes. I'm no expert but this guy is just cashing in on all the money to be made from prevention. If no one else is out there doing anti-cannabis speeches this guy has no competition for getting hired to speak about it. He's a shill for big pharma. Lets just keep the opiate epidemic going full speed ahead!
ОтветитьThank you for the valuable information, Ben Cort! :)
ОтветитьWho cares
ОтветитьNothing worse than a reformed ‘addict’.... why he was addicted I don’t know. Most people just take a tolerance break. Half truths made up with bollocks don’t waste your time
ОтветитьWhat a nice performance. I'm still wondering why other people think marijuana is not good, even though many studies prove that marijuana has a lot of benefits.
ОтветитьThere’s nothing wrong with a full grown adult consuming as much THC as they want. This bloke is just another bloke that doesn’t like weed and wants to take the right away from others.
Ответить
