Only just come across you - great to hear such spirited playing and yet at the same time historically informated. The fantaisie is wonderful with the rubato yet very baroque phrasing; it seems to be becoming more the fashion in the uk now with baroque chamber performances - someone called it mahler meets vivaldi! - but has'nt filtered down to the organ world yet in the UK -
Also nice to see you playing in socks - organ shoes are becoming the norm in the UK, worse luck

Splendid performance!! Love the contrast in registration between the full organ the 3rd manual in the Fantasia and your phrasing. The Fugue is one of the most phenomenal ones written by Bach. This is easily one of the best performances of BWV 542 I have heard.

Playing in Ab-minor...  Wouldn't the pitch in Bach's time have been like... modern F#?..

I can't understand why the fugue is more popular, the Fantasia is far way better, unique, incomparable!!! Even though this fugue is supreme as well.

J'aime bien les articulations, le tempo, les enregistrements, l'interprétation--en somme, une performance vraiment satisfaisante.

After a very good Fantasia I was truly disappointed to hear a disgraceful exposition of the fugue's theme. Too staccato, you can hear the pipes don't have time to speak properly. Luckily he realised and adjusted articulation gradually. But the beginning is atrocious - what a pity.
