Security got all upset when I climbed Giants Cave Buttress about 30 years ago, bit late to get all teasy about it when I was on the final pitch. Disinformation and misinformation seems a little too heavy at the Bridge, so resistant to education, always go to the catastrophic lengths examples when they don’t actually know the law or how drones fly!

The problem i have is you go over the bridge under it and along side it while this is an appealing video it is also a danger where a motorist claps eyes on this which maybe enough fDo you see where i am coming from. They tried flying over our golf course we were warned this was happening and to make comments after. The first thing was the noise dreadful at about a hundred feet high up and down the same holes. It was impossible to play our game with the racket. Jets at that time sometimes flew over at about 500 ft they where gone in a flash and one time we had a warthog fly over and it can fly slow and it did a couple of stunts and then it was off. But the noise from that machine was just horrible needless to say people had no good words to say about it. There has not been any since thats 20 odd years ago. So for me that is dangerous round a bridge and on any road where the speed is high. Sorry mate just being sensible.

Need to be careful when flying off edges like that if it's over 400ft or 120m you could be exceeding the max fly height straight away

Many years ago before drones in New Zealand 🇳🇿. Under stand . Here it may have been an agencies offence not to fly a remote plane around round an air port. Back then wasn't. not illegal. Now it is maybe property For laws to change. But once they do. All web sites. Must update. Just saying.❤❤❤

The 120M does not go from take-off point (the software just can't correct for it), it's from the nearest ground point, however the bridge would class as ground level so it's 120m from the bridge.

From my reading of our drone regs, the height is 120m,400 feet above ground level vertically,not take off point so in this scenario we shouldn't be flying more than 150 feet over the bridge footway, I think you got it about right

Showing a printout of the photo is stupid. They could have shown everybody a QR code to a web page with the photo.

AIrcraft can come down below 500 feet.
500 ft rule
The aircraft must not be flown closer than 500 ft to any person, vessel, vehicle, or structure.
If it was just a plain empty field you could come down below 500 feet if you wanted. There are many reasons why you may not want to.
