Awesome, Come up here and help me do install AC
ОтветитьIn Fairmont, WV
ОтветитьWould love to see more of these type of videos and well wishes to Rodger and his family and friends
ОтветитьRich is a great guy. Met him once at a 'home show'. I love the picture unit idea.
ОтветитьWhy couldn't the Audio be this good when they did their last two live segments.
Ответить“A thing called Photovoltaics”?
Ответитьlol...Biggest crawl space I've ever seen...:)
ОтветитьMy right ear is enjoying the video!
ОтветитьRich seems so "down to earth" and a very humble man with loads of knowledge. Prayers for Roger to have a fast recovery. Love every single person on TOH. Really great team!
ОтветитьThere is a light echo sound and I can't under stand what is being said.
ОтветитьBecause I'm watching the Pro's I'm going to be a pro thanks fellas
ОтветитьHow can I cool a basement with low humidity and low energy requirements?
ОтветитьAmazing system.
ОтветитьYou guys are simply the best!!! I am stuck in San Diego & getting ready to build a house & being I grew up in the North East & can't be there, I am building a barn style house, no stucco for me please, I couldn't do it without This Old House! Thanks for all the great years.
ОтветитьMy company has been designing a lot of heat pump systems here in Ontario. The performance of cold climate heat pumps is amazing! It really provides clients with an innovative and highly efficient HVAC system. We specialize and focus on high efficiency buildings so we're always looking for new breakthroughs.
ОтветитьFrom his past HVAC videos he isn’t one I would listen to. Stick to plumbing
ОтветитьAwesome video. Would like to see more net zero topics. Especially a project upgrading an older home to net zero.
ОтветитьPrayers to Roger and his family, I have been watching TOH from the very first one. Great video Rich y'all keep up the GREAT work.
ОтветитьMono.... How quaint.
ОтветитьSome interesting stuff here. However, the potential need for simultaneous heating and cooling sounds like a symptom of poor structural design. In my opinion, TOH too often focuses on technology to compensate for poor design rather than addressing the design issues. The TOH approach seems to be: design for aesthetics and we'll advertise the products to compensate.
ОтветитьMiss Roger😪
ОтветитьRichard needs to pipe some sound to the left channel.
Ответитьi can not hear you
ОтветитьThe problem I see with this is ROI. Not everyone can see the return, or alteast for years. Sure, there are zero-interest loans from PU, along with fed credits. But for 80% of home owners, they can't foot $50K to save $1200 a year (my average heat/cooling est).
And in my state, they still charge you a utility connection fee, even if off the grid. (I know, this isn't a battery/OTG install).
I wonder why LG and not Mitsubishi...IMHO much better hardware with Mitsu...
Hi, it’s always interesting for me to watch this series. As a European, I live in Poland, would like to ask you what is the advantage of blowing hot air to heat up the house in oppose to heating water, that is circulated either to radiators or floor heating? We rarely see air heating systems in Europe anywhere else than utility buildings also in countries like Sweden or Finland, where framed wooden houses are very popular. Even there, usually a floor heating is used - water pipes are inside a concrete slab.
In America, however you start having more and more wall-insulation, finally also roof insulation, but still there is a crawling space. My question is - what for? Typical European way is to have a concrete slab laying directly on a ground, which serves as a foundation, than some 7-12 inches of Styropor over it, than water lines in spiral covering the whole floor, than about 2 inches of concrete, that serves as a thermal mass and finish floor on top. If you have a heat pump you can cool down the floor to cool to house, but generally the outside blindes (Fassade Jalousie) are being used to block the sun from the south side and no air conditioning is needed. If you don’t let the hot air in, good insulation and floor thermal mass does the trick.
I haven’t seen this “European” approach in any of your films and would like to see a nice comparison, why is it so there and so here, and which is more efficient.
Keep up the good work and best wishes to Roger.
Hello from Brazil
ОтветитьMy first apartment was smaller than their crawl space.
ОтветитьWas hoping it was Jamestown Virginia 😒
ОтветитьA huge reason why I fell in love with yaaaaaarhds and landscaping was because of this old house and Roger. It's amazing to listen to somebody that has decades of experience in their field and love to teach others. I hope he gets better
ОтветитьWTF YOUR HOME AS PEOPLE LIVE HOME SMH!!!
ОтветитьSome seriously glitchy video.
ОтветитьPretty cool system. I like how they're improving the overall concept of heat management by moving the heat around rather than just dumping it outside. Now if they could make a refrigerator that ties into the system I'd be a very happy camper.
ОтветитьLG VRF with buried refrigerant lines lol yea good luck with that
ОтветитьCan this unit be used in a trailer
ОтветитьWhat is the Apple Watch used for? Will you perform a blower door test?
ОтветитьWow !! so bad audio !!
ОтветитьWill it provide all the hot water for the house? What brand of solar panels? Great video thank you!
ОтветитьWhat’s up w the lag in video feed?
ОтветитьFloppy Flag on Hi-hi roller stand is incorrectly fixed, griphead always has to be from the right, on tightening.
ОтветитьNeed more Net Zero project to educate the mass.
ОтветитьThe company I work for is doing a Mitsubishi City Multi. It has technology similar to this as it can heat one room and cool another but is a two pipe system not three
ОтветитьSounds like heat exchangers they used to have in hog buildings
ОтветитьRichard, I love this
ОтветитьCan I use this type of heating subfloor
ОтветитьSo...you have refrigerant lines running all over the place in a very tight buiding envelope. What happens if you get a refrigerant leak inside the house?
ОтветитьPlease massage me 9960835327
ОтветитьRichard is my favorite host. His passion for alternative energy is great. TOH is just a great show all around with a great cast.
ОтветитьOnly working on right side ear plug
