I love the 45 Compact and the G3, but my favorite is the MP5A2. I was issued one during my time in ESU and it practically shot itself... amazing weapon.

Very interesting video. Could listen to Larry talk all day. I have a G36 and a Hk 91, would love to find a 98K for the collection. Also, an Hk history video with no sections for the mp5 or ump?

The name and history that came with it is too good not to make a company out of it due to a war.

Larry the Luger has nothing to do with any modern hk designs. That would be our lord and savior John Moses Brownings work.

HK weapons cost to much for any real profit to be made. They have to rely on government contracts. The USMC will find out relatively quickly they have spent too much. HK pistols are almost never seen in civilian hands for the same reason. The initial purchase price is to high per round down range. Noone is a better expert of the best equipment than the guy that spent too much. Goes bang is way better than that's really cool. These days you might consider finding ammo first then buy a weapon. But that's just my opinion......

Great show Larry I have a early version of the 98 k but with a crest on it . is this one ended up in Yugoslavia? Numbers matching and all blued .don't know the year of manufacture ?

G-3 is a complete copy of the Spanish CETME-C. Now it were the germans the ones who made the desing famous. Pretty sad story for spaniards

G3, HK416, USP45, MP5, MP7, UMP, MG4, MG5, L85A2 every one knows these gun, there is no person who lives in the modern day that hasn't seen or heard of these.

I found it ironic that the delayed roller blowback was looked as a solution or improvement over the gas piston operated Stg 44. The delayed roller blowback seemed more expensive, more complicated designed, and has since been replaced mostly by gas piston system it tried to replace. I know the current trend is the short stroke gas piston but it seemed like HK found it's niche on a less than modern design for such a long time while most other major players on the firearms scene was sticking to the gas piston system

I love my P30sk V3 9mm and P30s V3 9mm the USP45 V1 & HK45C & VP9 will be my next three H&K pistol purchases and the MR762LRP & MR556A1 & SP5K will be later

LOVE my H&K P7M8, mag release rear buttom of the grip. But throw it away 1994.

The G3 looks tough enough to survive the eastern front. I love the M16, but I dont believe they would survive artillery bombardments and trench warfare as well as the stout G3.

Like imagine rifles being hurled 30-40 feet in the air from the blasts ....
