Pilatus buys American sales and service center Skytech Inc.

With this acquisition, Pilatus is expanding its direct involvement in the US market, which is very important for the company. With Pilatus Business Aircraft Ltd, Pilatus has had a subsidiary based in Colorado for 26 years. The subsidiary acts as Pilatus general importer for North and South America and is responsible for managing the authorized sales and service center network, marketing and final assembly work. In addition, sales to fleet and government customers are handled through the subsidiary. With the acquisition of Skytech, Pilatus intends to ensure and further improve the continuity and quality of the award-winning customer service on the east coast of the USA together with the other authorized service center partners.

Founded in 1976, Skytech Inc. is a service and aircraft sales company with two locations in the US states of Maryland and South Carolina. As part of an upcoming succession plan, Pilatus has decided to take over Skytech; all of the approximately 120 employees will continue to be employed by the Swiss aircraft manufacturer.
