Wonderful. Just one more ingenious way along with "Coming Soon" to snuff out buyer's agents. Why do consumers need to work with a buyer's agents when it's way too easy to go around us and squeeze the listing agent to get the deal. In fact, CRMLS's "rules" including the use of escalation clauses, have changed the industry and not for the better. Personally, I'm loading up on Open Door Technologies (OPEN) because we are in fact, being phased out. It's just a matter of time.

The MLS sold us out a long time ago by giving these large companies access to our MLS. The MLS has not done us hard working agents any favors! I have been an agent for 27 years and it use to be that the consumer use to have to come to the agents now they can go on large platforms and find their homes which usually have miss information! Sad part is we have to pay the MLS to sell our business so they can pad their pockets from these large companies and you ALL know who I'm talking about!

Why all these dumb rules? Why don't you just require all listings go Active in all MLSs across teh country for 7 days? And stop selling us out to zillow?

I don't agree with this rule at all. Any advertising of a brokers listing by another broker should be at the discretion of the listing broker. I think these constant changes inhibiting the listing brokers from control over their own listing inventory is driving and will continue to drive listing brokers away from the MLS and seek other areas in which to place their listings.

The rule has always forced the advertising agent to show the listing agent's name and brokerage but the new rule should not force the advertising agent to put the contact information of the listing agent because many consumers will go direct to the listing agent and you will lose half of your CRMLS users who work primarily with buyers. I don't think this adds as much transparency as it takes away the advertising agent's edge in sourcing listings for their clients.
