Edit: FUN FACT: There's a man called Charles Lightoller on the ship, he came back on a collapsible raft as the most senior member of the crew. He later survived a zeppelin attack, and even Dunkirk, dying at the age of 82. His ferry boat the Sundowner can still be visited at Ramsgate.

This might be one of my fav hymns ever not only cuz I m obsessed with history but because in general this music represents the grief and loss of many ppl.
Between in night of 14-15 th of April 1912, 8 brave souls step on a deck to play their last song to try to calm the other ppl around them and this song… was the last thing not only them but around 1000 other ppl would ever ear.
This song is in my opinion not only a golden reminder on how humanity can unite to try to help other ppl.
