Brian’s own words define who he is and Christian is not it. New Agee? Yes. Mysticism? Yes. Emergent church? Yes, but Christian? No.

His interviews and books have attempted to neuter the Word of God to justify eastern type philosophy. Roman Catholic mysticism & pagan beliefs. His list of men who have inspired him in his so-called “walk” of faith are well documented.

Unless he repents and turns away from his blasphemous words he will not be saved.

Turning from God to promote doctrines of demons will not be forgiven without repentance. Galatians 1:8,9 seal the fate of men who purposefully mislead people. I pray he is just highly confused or he is Anathema, one without hope of redemption.

I’m not sure how we have strayed so far from the early Christian church, thought. I hear what Brian is saying regarding a Monarch God and yes that was the early Church. Yes people were burned at the stake. The world was filled with monarchy and power. Those were the ruling forces, so it is logical that is how God was framed. Thomas Aquinas framed God as Pure Being, outside of the universe.. Yet present in it through the Spirit. How much more modern can you be? When quantum physicists are saying that the basis of all reality is consciousness, from which matter has emerged! Can we not see the parallel with the ancient church? St. Bonaventure framed God this way, EVERYTHING emerges from God, EVERYTHING exemplifies God and EVERYTHING returns to God. I personally find a perfect congruence here between the Godhead, Creation and what quantum physics is pointing towards. What must be reexamined is the notion of a gray bearded tyrant sitting in the sky! I’m not Catholic BTW, but fascinated with the early church and how intelligent and modern the thinking was. Of course it was framed in the culture of society at the time. Surely we can see the parallels with scientific thought now. I am very disheartened by labels of one camp and another, yes even specific denominations, which ultimately restricts freedom of thought. We use labels, and so do gangs, it can be dangerous. We are not GANGS. We are Christians.
