I started commonplacing for real this month and have already filled half an A5 notebook 😅 It’s amazing for research and collecting thoughts and interests. Right now I’m looking into the politics of cyberpunk and solipsism in photography, and there’s literally nothing better than curling up with my notebook.

happy halloween! so happy to see an episode from you. 💜 forgive my random sharing a bit, but my son (9yo) is disabled and his favorite holiday is halloween too. he loves playing a villain and scaring people and doing a big evil laugh (every day, not just for halloween). 😍 he's not very social but he's been answering the door for trick or treaters all night and he loved it. i'm so proud of him!

before bed he was crying from exhaustion and asking anxiously about it being over, about us remembering to turn off every individual halloween light, if the spooky balloons were all still intact, etc. I dunno, i guess I just thought of that when you mentioned how you have been feeling a bit anxious about enjoying the season enough. i suppose it's hard when you're looking forward to a thing SO MUCH for it to be all that you imagined and did you savor it enough.

i hope you do have a very lovely halloween night and weekend (we're collectively extending it into the weekend, ive decided 😌). take care and i hope you're able to get some good/better sleep.
