Want to clear this up, rankine ran 19 meters after taking the bounce, run too far fair and square. They were not robbed. The umpires loved Adelaide all day long.

For the people who don't have brains: running more than 15m is illegal, Rankine ran more than 15m. Not like it would've mattered as the kick ended up in a tackle with 11 seconds left, wasn't even a mark

Collingwood supporter here - There needs to be a royal commission into the state of the umpiring in afl - have never seen so many dreadful decisions in my life. Daicos got punched in the face from an Adelaide player fending him off. A crows player drops the ball after being tackled and it’s play on. Atrocious…

I'm suprised the Ump'y did'nt pay Collingwood 50m for Rankine kicking the ball away on the run. LOL. The AFL need to introduce a 'Captains call' and allow one challenge per quarter from club captain's , with decisions going to Video Ref'.

And this folks, is why i rarely watch AFL games .. yet another umpire influenced score.. i dont follow either team.. but how many holding the ball free kicks for both teams went ignored ?This game is basically rigged.. This season alone, how many times has the ball clearly gone out of bounds, with the boundary umpire within 5 metres, and nothing happens ? The NFL in the US ,has a flag system were the coach can demand a slo-mo replay of any dodgy decision by these so called unbiased fools.. but we need the same 4K cameras all over the ground , goal posts, boundary lines.. its gonna put a few jerks out of a job , but who cares.. they are ruining this game..

As a Pies fan, can I just say to Crows fans: let’s agree to stop playing each other.

But jokes aside, I have 2 observations:

1) Rankin ran too far BUT
2) Why call it? Remember when Jetta and Rioli had that sprint along the wing in the 2012 GF and it was bloody epic and that match was absolutely rad? Probably had 3 bounces in 80m. And no one cares.

The rules are the ball has to touch the ground every 15 metres, rather than 15 steps. True, Rankine did bounce the ball once shortly after taking possession. But I think he needed one more bounce in there to make it a legal run.
