ОтветитьWe will be back someday and we will be champions of the world again, I guarantee it.
ОтветитьIt's so hard being a jet fan
ОтветитьSo close just a few years ago
ОтветитьIncoming "joe Namath sucked" comments. People are too stupid to realize joe Namath made history. He was the first quarterback to ever throw for 4,000 yards in a single season, oh and he was the first AFL qb to beat an NFL team in the super bowl. If the jets don't beat the colts in super bowl 3, who knows when a merger happens
Ответитьso who one the first super bowl?
ОтветитьEvery body thought jets would get killed
ОтветитьGOAT🗣
ОтветитьMost of these people commenting negatively on joe Namath didn’t see the jets pound the colts in 69 or understand who he was , back then foot ball was not only a sport it was show biz , big and exciting. Broad way joe was a hero and still is a icon to us kids who watched him play and a great many of us wanted to be just like him . I watched that game at 9 years old and it was the greatest team and game I’ve ever seen and I will never forget it .

ОтветитьNamath a Class Act What I appreciated is how fondly Namath spoke of Unitas going out at the 50 yard line to shake hands prior to the start. I was a young pup and admired Unitas as his career was ending. I was in a complete fog watching that game with the Jets beating the Titanic Team in the Colts in Super Bowl 3 (the real BALTIMORE Colts!).
ОтветитьEasily the most overrated quarterback of all time. Of the 13 seasons he played, he only had 2 seasons of more touchdowns than interceptions!
And there's numerous other quarterbacks of that era who were statistically better than him. The ONLY reason this idiot Is in the HOF, is because he played in NY & famously predicted the jets would win the super bowl. He was soooooo horribly overrated! The HOF should be ashamed to have this idiot in with true greats. He was a ok QB at best!
Man, RIP Don Shula though. A legend of the game
ОтветитьI remember everyone talking about this game when I was a child. My teenage sister even watched because " Joe Namath is a doll". Too funny.
ОтветитьWho's here from Broadway Joe's tweet?
ОтветитьJoe Namath sucked.
Ответить"Starting to get interested in NFL thru this Superbowl i.e. Mr. Namath's positivity/JETS challenge vs established powerful/ COLTS, both being led by already present greats/NY JETS' Coach Weeb Eubanks & BALTIMORES' Coach Donald Francis Shula...on my small transit radio & surprised about the outcome but destiny had other ideas for our entry into the NFL...🤔🤗🏞
ОтветитьNamath is still pissed as he should be. # 1 defense and an incredible offensive line.
ОтветитьA year or two ago I got to do something I've waited over 40 years to do. A local sportscaster had said if the Jets win he would eat crow. I ran into the sportscaster and told him about that. He looked at me a moment, and shook his head.
ОтветитьThe goat
ОтветитьI have loved Joe since the 1960s & I still do . When he got injured in games , alot of times he stayed in the games. To me Joe is the best Quarterback & he will always be my favorite & Joe is a legend 🏈💚❤
ОтветитьSay what you want about him but dude has excellent quotes lol
ОтветитьBest part - " Joe your king of the hill ?
Joe - " No...No....We're KING of the hill, we got the team brotha ! " 👍 👑's 🏆 💍
Broadway joe
Ответитьjoe namath had the best arm in the nfl and terry bradshaw to
ОтветитьHe’s god
ОтветитьHere after Wilson's injury. Namath is our god, but no doubt he put a curse on this team...
ОтветитьWhat a boss
ОтветитьThey didn't show the AFL championship game in New York because of the blackout rules in place at the time could you imagine that happening today no way I'm lucky I was around I was a kid but I remember listening to the AFL Championship on a radio. I forgot how good the Jets defense was along with the great offense.
ОтветитьThe younger generations will NEVER understand the impact of Namath...think about it
ОтветитьEmerson Boozer’s niece trained me at Verizon in the mid 2000’s.
ОтветитьSomeday The New York Jets will win the Super Bowl Title again 🥺😐
Someday, probably before I leave this earth....... And almost 55 years since the Super Bowl Title (January 1969), well.......I don't need to get into the details.....yet......
But nevertheless, Someday.... but you never know 🏈 what the game feels like 💚🤍🏈🥺😐😎🇺🇸🌆🗽✈️
I love that he embodies no I in Team
ОтветитьLook at them sideburns! He looks like a girl
ОтветитьGoat
ОтветитьMr.Mink strikes again
ОтветитьI believe Namath called all the plays in the huddle……knew his football
ОтветитьJoe always felt Matt Snell should have won the Super Bowl MVP - he ran for 121 yards and had a number of key blocks.
ОтветитьI never knew that they had invented film when Super Bowl 3 was played 100 years ago.
ОтветитьThanks for cursing my team Joe
ОтветитьI can watch these highlights over and over and over again...
ОтветитьI was huge Baltimore Colts fan back when this game was played, and I remember Namath making the "guarantee" prediction while he was being interviewed after the Jets beat the Raiders in the AFL championship game. It was thought at that time by many, that the AFL was an inferior league to the established NFL. If I remember correctly, the Colts were 17-point favorites and nobody gave the Jets a chance, including me. Watching Super Bowl III, I kept waiting for the Colts to break the game open and of course, it never happened (3 picks in the red zone will do that). I always hated Joe Namath after that game, but as the years have passed, I have the utmost respect for the guy now. Incredible how they pulled it off. I don't think people nowadays realize how big of an upset this was. Similar to the US Men's hockey team beating the Soviets in the 1980 Olympics. To make life even more miserable for this Baltimore fan, the following year in the World Series, the NY Mets beat the Orioles.
ОтветитьThe colts and jets AFL powerhouses before the merger with NFL in super bowl 3 famous joe made
ОтветитьWas that bill Walsh as an announcer when he said I don't think nameth will have an easy time?
