Why not use pex instead of copper? In my area (Toronto), I almost always convert the water supply from copper to pex when doing bathroom renos. I've always been told to stay away from copper if possible.
ОтветитьMy question is why cut it so short , just make a bigger job for the next guy when these eventually fail
ОтветитьEventually they will fail. I would rather have a good old fashioned solder joint.
ОтветитьShark bite valves are for hacks!
ОтветитьSolder a cs40 B
ОтветитьI love traditionalism but pex is the future
ОтветитьI love how the copper coming out of the wall isn't even tightened down and is floppy
ОтветитьShark bite is for con artist plumbers
ОтветитьYou pronounced "especially" wrong sweetie
ОтветитьShark bite sucks can wait till your bathroom gets flooded 🤣
ОтветитьQuarter turn shut off’s are the worst things I have ever come across. Many years ago I worked at a apartment complex and that’s all they had quarter turn shut offs. After a few years the handles break off and now you have a leak all over the place . Also we shut them off and the handle breaks, know you have another leak. It got to the point that every time someone moved out, that was part of the routine to replace those mother F$&king shut offs.
ОтветитьSharkbites are garbage 🗑.
ОтветитьShark bite is just a leak waiting to happen.
ОтветитьYes, EXPESSIALLY....
ОтветитьI thought Plumbers hated these? Contractors always use em and the plumber always complains. In Canada.
ОтветитьIt's a mechanical fitting. Hope you don't have air hammering cause you might come home to water damage.
ОтветитьAmazing look, im sure im not smart enough but seems like it would be extra tough to remove.
ОтветитьLooks like shit
ОтветитьDo it right - use compression valves
ОтветитьIf you gonna do that use the compression fittings ones that look exactly the same but I have a lot more confidence in then sharkbite
Ответитьnope
ОтветитьOk why would you spend so much time putting the quality work into the remodel to compromise the integrity by using cheap sharkbite fittings? They are definitely going to fail! And damage all the nice work that was done! I would not gamble with them. They are only good for temporary use like capping off stubb outs while remodeling. Never bury them in walls or ceilings!
ОтветитьIt’s pronounced ESPECIALLY, not EXPECIALLY. Your grasp of the English language is about as good as your country bumpkin plumbing skills.
ОтветитьCame home to a shark bite popped off and flooded my main level. Immediately switched them all to compression
ОтветитьDon't use shark bites, they're for temporary use only.
ОтветитьPush to connect fittings are the next polybutylene
ОтветитьIdiot.
Shark bites if you read their own nomenclature are only for temporary fixes.
Now when that trashcan sharkbite starts leaking within 1-3 years they are gonna have fun getting them yanked to actually put real fittings on
ОтветитьWfs
ОтветитьSomeone give me a honest opinion on installing these valves on PEX instead of copper
ОтветитьDid ya ream the pipes
ОтветитьStop doing plumbing please. Using sharkbites automatically says you cheat people.
ОтветитьHe needs to talk faster and speed up the video 🤦🏼♂️ This was a pointless tutorial.
Ответить🎉clean
ОтветитьAhahhahaha a penis from the wall
ОтветитьCompression is 1000 times better than
ОтветитьI only ever use shark bites in emergency situations. I will eventually go back and redo it. I do property maintenance and alot of emergency water leaks.
ОтветитьHe's fast
ОтветитьI have PEX sticking out and I really want a sleeve to hide the pex. Where can I find the sleeve please?
ОтветитьThis is hands-down one of the dumbest things I’ve ever seen. Do not do this.
ОтветитьNo just no no I wonder if I’m watching the right guy to learn tile
ОтветитьIts failed to short the pipes..
ОтветитьHow long does the pipe have to be to use this type? Will a half inch of pipe be enough to fit it on? My plumber says he'll need to solder. I'm not sure I trust him.
ОтветитьThey work great, never had a problem. Plumbers don’t like them because they’re fast and any home owner can install them easy and save money.
ОтветитьHow do you stop them from spinning?
ОтветитьWho really cares if copper is visible as far as looks go? Most shut off valves are under a cabinet or hidden behind something. It would be the least of my concerns. That pipe is cut too short.
ОтветитьThat's great, here's what im running in to. Of all the different manufacturers quarter turn shutoffs, ive found most of them are trash in 5yrs. The ball typically seizes and does not shutoff as marketed forcing you to change outbthe entire valve. Im back to using a multi-turn. Heres why- It eliminates ever having to change the valve body unless it leaks, only the stems. It's a beautiful thing. Saves my clients and myself time and money.
ОтветитьTypically with pedestal sinks, you have to move the plumbing in to fit behind the pedestal. If you’ve taken an old cabinet out, am I right. But some people down because it cost a little more money.
ОтветитьHorrible drywall job
