God said following for quite a while, except the literal meaning, he also implied that Mazikeen have followed the biblical way to be what God likes. The screenwriters deserve a pay raise for that line.

you know when i look at this. i feel sad for god. almost everyone hates him. but he created so many thing to make his family happy. for his wife, he created the cop. for lucifer he created chloe, for trixie he created trixie as a best friend, and for amanadiel.

He tured around and spoke a soul into her, that's what she was feeling she was given the breath of life and she took her first breaths like a new born baby ! ❤

The moment Maze realizes what he said and what it means is one of the best in the show

Tbh, I think she already got a soul for a long time at this point, she just needs confirmation that it is possible.

No so much found out she CAN, as realized at that moment she had already done so long beforehand. THAT was the reason God couldn't give her one, because he couldn't give her what she already possessed.

That's the almost the same look she had, and they way she breathed, when Trixie saw her demon face and thought it was cool. I really believe that was the moment it first started to grow inside her.

Meeting Trixie and her accepting Maze as is what started soul growth for Maze

I loved this scene. I am a die hard fan of the graphic novels that this series was based on and I thought Mazikeen would be the most difficult person to cast but Lesley-Ann Brandt and the writers did a magnificent job of capturing her fierceness and her heart and adapting what they could and changing what they needed

With two words, God gave Maze an amazing gift.

I can only imagine how bad this show woulda been if Netflix didn't pick it up... The last season was absolute perfection, and half of the stuff wouldn't have been possible on the previous network.

A lot of this season was all about assumptions just because its never been done doesn't mean it cant be done. People spent the series blaming god or the devil rather than just getting on with their lives. Lucifers vulnerability was self actualisation in practice but its not only angels that have that ability

The crazy part for me was the second you see the emotions she experiences when God says cant she shows she had a soul the whole time. Hell when she was teick or treating with trixie and worried about how she felt about her demon face, i felt like she had one already

Maze earned her soul countless times over, and that is why it is so very precious to her. This was the payoff we were all hoping to see, and it still hits the feels like a freight train all these years later. 😍

Even at the end she trys to fight it her emotions and the realisation whats she's been feeling for a while

So basically her helping Michael and fighting Lucifer was a waste of time 🤣

It'd be cool if we got a spinoff for Maze's bounty hunting days. Basically a combination of Lucifer's consultant work and the Renegade show.

Maze absolutely had the best arc in the show. From a ruthless demon to a childs best friend. Her love of Trixie was the best development throughout the show. The fact that it happened without her becoming lame is even better.

Never really thought about it until now but she always had the potential to manifest a soul. She even had her own body from when she left Hell with Lucifer. Other demons had to possess bodies in order to stay on Earth. By the sounds of it her challenge was growth, becoming more than just a demon but a demon with a soul.

The day she wanted a soul she got one
