I'm sorry but these women who fell for this trend are not naive. They are narcissists to even think wearing scandalous clothing is empowering in a corporate setting. As a corporate girlie, we are there to work and to contribute to the company's mission. Not to look cute and bend over for everyone to see your intimate areas. 🤦♂️
ОтветитьI've worked in professional office settings for years, the whole dress code thing is outdated. People can wear what they want, if people dress ridiculously, they will feel silly and change the type of clothes they wear. The more we normalize human bodies the less people will be distracted by human bodies. Dress coding also tends to be discriminatory on the basis of body type and race. Certain bodies are hyper-sexualized which causes disproportionate disciplinary action on people with certain body types. We need to move beyond the outdated notion that morality and professionalism can be accurately judged based on clothing choice.
ОтветитьSo many of them look like they should be in Brittney Spears´ "Oops, I did it again", like wannabe Catholic schoolgirls.
ОтветитьWth are they wearing.
ОтветитьHow do you not know that the office is not the venue for a crop top? Why take advice for these people?
ОтветитьThese trends created by us makes the Bible account of our fall due to who Satan tempted first very real. We fall for a lot of crap. It is by design.
ОтветитьThese outfits will have me thinking these were women are on their way to the office to shoot a p*orn video.
Ответить"Imma dress like that for the interwebz". "Omg, a guy looked at me because I was wearing a broad belt that I decided to call a skirt, I'm beeing objectified, my goal was totally not for anyone to look at me. HALP, metoo". The rest of the office doesn't want to have to wear blinders in order to protect themselves. And no company wants that headache. Course you're getting sacked.
ОтветитьWhy would you sexualise yourself at the office
ОтветитьRecently on Reddit I saw a post where a girl was wearing like a corset with a blazer over it, and she was asking if it was appropriate office attire. Thankfully, everyone was like, “Ummm… are you serious? Absolutely not!”
Adding a blazer to nightclub or boudoir outfits does not appropriate office attire make, ppl smh
The first TikTok - you're working at a desk, not on the desk. The second one cute outfit for going shopping, not the office, the pants and shoes were nice, if she had put on a proper shirt underneath would have been fine. The third tik tok girl looks like she's off to film an office porno, or a theme night at a nightclub, and her blouse looked so tight, that if she sneezed real hard the buttons would pop off and take someone's eye out. The 4th tik tok I agree that was office appropriate! I think people need more common sense when it comes to this sort of thing.
ОтветитьI really like your video’s but you saying that you would not wear something because you are Christian feels to me that you feel better than them. Idk… Maybe say you would not wear it because it is not you vibe/style
ОтветитьDidn’t we go through this with Calista Flockhart’s lawyer character in the 90s? Don’t take professional clothing guidance from TV shows!
ОтветитьI work at a top law firm. we wear jeans and tshirts.
ОтветитьSome girls are too blinded by their own subconscious will to seduce.
ОтветитьThe biggest problem with the office siren trend is that the girls who do this are the ones most likely to complain about being looked at.
ОтветитьI think Matt in the first video is just covering his ass by not arguing about wether her attire is appropriate or not as supposed to being slapped with a complaint or a lawsuit for “inappropriate” behaviour when he tells her the truth.
ОтветитьAs an office worker, I actually wouldn’t be offended at all if someone did dress like this to be honest… but I can understand how it could bother people maybe?? It’s a funny one.. who cares 😅 but I enjoyed this video thank you!
ОтветитьTotally fake. She’s not a great actress either
ОтветитьIt’s interesting for them to use the “omg they’re just clothes you’re the one sexualizing them” when in all their videos they’re imagining themselves in sexual situations while wearing this to the office
ОтветитьI think you should re-evaluate the type lf content youre making. The misogyny in the comments is disgusting. Calling heels "hooker heels" and calling women inappropriate names isnt acceptable.
ОтветитьI hate to tell you because you’re very young and naive. We can’t change the laws of nature. Women were made to be seductive to attract men for procreation. Thats why women are ALWAYS looking for an excuse to sexualize themselves in front of men. It’s nature.
ОтветитьI am working at the local government office, we have thousands of employees. The top outfit for all our non-customer-facing jobs is: the comfiest loose blouse, the oversized cardigan (AC is no joke), and maxi skirt, because that's the closest item in comfort comparable to loose pyjama pants. I am so happy that's an unspoken uniform for my office - it takes 2 minutes to get ready and feel comfy for the rest of the day! 😭
ОтветитьI work in banking. It serves me to both look like i have money, and can be trusted with yours.
As an older Millennial, this 90s,/00s "style" is giving CHEAP.
And sorry to that "HR rep" but a bodycon dress is a NO.
People should be shamed. PUT ON SOME DAMN CLOTHES.
ОтветитьThis might be sn unpopular opinion but if you don't meet any customers and the boss doesn't mind I actually think the style is fine. I work in an office where we only speak to customers over the phone. Some of my coworkers wear gym shorts and some wear tight leather pants. Nobody really cares. It might be a cultural thing though. I'm swedish and we don't really have the religious values.
ОтветитьI'm so flummoxed that people are wearing this stuff to work. This was a hot style when I was in uni in the 2000s. I wore clothes like this to school.
ОтветитьI have seen some of that outfits in some secretaries in public offices... 😅
If RH does not like my outfit I would expect a call to "talk" at their office and to be giving a clothing policy or tell me guidelines about waht they expect me to wear at the office, I would not expect them to fire me because my clothes because that would be discrimination.
I work in creative fields, I have seen goths, hard rock outfits, rainbows hair and more color in hair than a cocomelon cartoon, people wearing what I would expect in an ashram, I think the only thing I have never saw in an office is this lolita victorian style, I have seen pajamas from time to time, specially saturdays and days people knew we will not treat with clients or were pulling 24 hours shifts. Not one bated a lash unless you were not fulfilling your job and those were usually the "normal" ones.
Maybe I am in a field that allows it but I think firing someone because their clothes (asnlong as they cover all the needed) it is discrimination.
Can these women please stop dressing inappropriately for offices and classes !!!?? In the name of choice feminism since when this careless attitude came!!! Like if you want to wear sexy or whatever wear it outside of offices and classes or work in fashion industry. Distracting or not that's not the topic , it's about being attentive of the surrounding and blending in with others. Sure you can be a fashionista while choosing appropriate attires that look sharp and neat but can these women please stop feeding into male fantasies more and more and say it's their choice !!! I guess not . Like literally these women talking about choice and feminism when cosplaying y2k p*rn characters that too in offices and colleges is just cheap asf. If you want to do it , do it for hanging out or so.
ОтветитьWhen you are about to start a new job it doesn't hurt to park your car in the lot and watch people coming out at 5:00 pm , see what they're wearing.
ОтветитьSo you're telling me that somebody spread a rumor on the internet about a person being fired for clothes, but nobody has seen any content from the person in question? Sounds like that girl does not exist, my friends
ОтветитьFirst of all: this is how we end up if we don't set boundaries at school. In my country, teenagers and college students dress like however they want, schools and universities are not allowed to say anything bad because parents are going nuts if anyone say anything negative about their children. They never learned how to dress appropiately and now they genuienly think it is okay to wear next to nothing at work. And second: this comes from the childish mindset of "everybody looks and has to look at me because I am the centre of the universe". From a child, this is normal at a certain age but it should have changed around puberty. Jobs aren't about the indiviudals. And lastly: girl....in 2025 saying that if anyone is disturbed because of you, that is not your problem...where have you beend the last decade? 🙄
ОтветитьExcuse me... who MICROWAVES coffee? I just died a little, and I'm not even Italian, nor do I drink coffee
ОтветитьSooo.... it's TikTokers being all about "women can wear what they want" and then turn around setting women back a few decades telling them to dress for the male gaze instead of focus on work in the workplace?
ОтветитьTop tip: don't show up to work looking like you're there for a p0rn shoot, unless you work in p0rn.
ОтветитьHonestly the whole story sounds a bit fake... did anyone try to verify that someone actually had a $200k salary and actually got fired for her attire? Girls straight out of college aren't making that money and if they are... they're not that dumb. It just sounds like a fake scenario... esp recording the HR interview which I'm sure is not legal.
ОтветитьWhoever doesn’t understand common decency in dress, especially at the office, needs help. Obviously there is something else going on inside them, whether they want to admit it or not. But most people do not self-check, and that’s the number one issue. Another issue is that without a moral code, we are asking for disaster. Unfortunately, with so much media at our fingertips and movies that dishonor both men and women, what do we expect of the up and coming generations? We have blurred the lines in society and now complain about it.
ОтветитьBefore starting to work from home, I worked in the office. I do NOT want my colleagues to be able to see what I had for dinner the night before. I don't want them to be able to tell what underwear I am wearing, and what my labia look like. That's humiliating, it lacks self-esteem and pride.
ОтветитьWomen have already been fighting the issue of people unnecessarily sexualizing them and telling them how completely modest and regular clothing is "inappropriate", and the double standard on dress codes for men and women, you don't need to make the job easier for them
ОтветитьAs an older professional, thank you for providing sound advice for young women entering the workplace. Honestly, I can't believe what you've said actually has to be said. It used to be common sense.
ОтветитьMost companies have a dress code. When you accept a pusition, you also accept the comoany culture, oart of which is the dress code.
If you want to be taken seriously, you need to stand out for your creativity, punctuality and work ethic.
I definitely blame those viewers for sheepishly following any short-lived fad that comes along on - especially - TikTok. It's as if you'd excuse nuisance pranksters for harming coworkers "because they were influenced by social media". If starting professionals are not sure about it, then simply email / ask the company what the dress code is! It's that simple. Furthermore, if you have a written answer describing it and you follow it, it may serve to your own protection as an employee.
Anyway.... will never have to deal with this myself as I would under no circumstance hire women to begin with.
Its absolutely putrid to have your bare underwear directly on the seat. 🤮
ОтветитьThis is not freedom or being powerful, it's just disrespectful and being disconnected from reality. Taking advice from TikTok is just insane, those ''influencers'' don't even know how the world works outside, and everything from them is fake. Gladly I don't have TikTok best decision ever
ОтветитьTrue Business Attire, says "Can do!"
Business Siren Attire, says "Do me!"
Yeah, most normal people understand that there is appropriate work attire required where they work. These people are not normal, they are desperate people looking for attention.
The ones that actually got disciplined by HR deserve that because they broke the rules. You break rules, you usually have consequences. I feel sorry for these folks for the desperate grab for attention. Also very grateful I do not have TikTok.
What do you think of this Office Siren Trend? Would you wear this to a typical office setting? 🤔 Personally, I wouldn't but everyone has their own style! I just don't think some of these outfits are appropriate for a professional setting. Nothing against these girls though!💛
ALSO Harassment is 100% the fault of the harasser, period. No one ‘deserves’ to be mistreated based on what they wear! However, dressing provocatively can leave you more open to unwanted attention and things as simple as unwanted comments about your appearance or clothing, lingering stares that make you uncomfortable, or inappropriate jokes or suggestive remarks etc.
It's horrible that this is even a thing, absolutely. I am no way victim blaming at all and harassment can happen to anyone.
Another update: Yes, I said scandalous wrong. I say things wrong sometimes, I'm not perfect. Everyone in my life knows its a known quirk of mine and it is BOUND to happen. If you're bothered about me saying one word wrong, just don't watch haha. It's who I am, no matter how hard I try to say things right, it probably won't happen lol. That word is not something I say really ever, so it's no surprise I said it wrong. I won't be responding to more comments about it hahah.
