Bells and whistles

Chairman Stolle, the One Municipal Tycoon of the Alp Republik, started his career as a locodriver. Recently he has studied the most influential railroads in the vicinity, their technical prowess i astounding. Unfortunately the undeniable climate change that no one is allowed to question makes this sort of excellence impossible in the snowy mountains. After seing a very british costume movie with Esmeralda, he considers a new slogan for the Huddingevaara Pappavaara Railroad; ”A train with a view”.

Stolle is contemplating a mystery; how come the trains run so well with lowered pantographs? Is it a matter of aestetics, or is it a climate smart way to reduce aerodynamic drag, thus reduced powerconsumption, so that no islands will sink below the waves in the Pacific Ocean next year, or even saving Venice. Who knows? But one thing is for sure; the Environmental Party of the Kohl & Stahlstadt Soviet Plenum is considering a law to make shorter catenary masts mandatory.

Anyway, the transportation av industrial goods and passengers is performed in style.
