Just make sure you sand the glasses down working from 200 grit up to 4000 grit, put the Vaseline on then what he didn't tell you, add just a dab of your favorite car wax/ceramic coating, buff off and now you can see and depending on the quality of your choice of wax/sealant you'll be set for a year

I tried to get minor scratches off my glasses using the techniques for removing haze from vehicle headlights, I had to have someone drive me to eyemart express so I could get new glasses, because I couldn’t see anything out of those glasses after I sanded on them a few times

I don’t know about Vaseline on glasses but I rub in Automotive Silicone lubricant on my windows of the car and the fogging is considerably lessened. On the headlamps too.

Maybe works for eye glasses under ski goggles. Who knows.

I find that the best way to guarantee optical clarity is to clean the lenses first with sulphuric acid, then follow the steps in this video. Hey presto job well done.

I've used silicone grease. The kind used on plumbing rubber and plastic parts.

Vasoline works best after removing a growth from your skin for a biopsy. Smear the vasoline on the wound for better healing ( check with your doctor first!), THEN put your glasses on. That's how vasoline and eyeglasses should be used together.

Just go all out and just use Rain-X or better yet, ceramic coat them to give you a 2 year long lasting coating....

I use shaving cream to do that to glasses and bathroom mirror. I'm betting it would take a lot more work with Vaseline...

What about lard or gun grease?

1. error, cleaning llens with dishwashing soap will damage the coating.
2. error, rubbing lens with your fingers! fingers surface is rough, think like microscope sand paper. you are literally rubbing sand paper on the coating. cringe.
3. error rubbing hard the microfiber on the lens. same as above, it's like fine sand paper, you press and rub hard you ruin the lens.

Do they make scratch resistant glasses, if not. How can you fix scratches on your glasses, don't say buy a new pair. Just end up with 50 pairs 😬😬😬

I did this with oven cleaner for a very nice opaque finish for privacy from people trying to make eye contact.

What he failed to mention is that vaseline also moisturizes the lenses so they don’t crack. Chapstick works too.
