Anything you're going to put through the washing machine, make sure the exposed threads aren't too long! Use couching stitches and other techniques that keep the visible parts of the stitches nice and short and they'll be less likely to catch on something in the wash. My first-ever embroidery project was a patch of my favorite Pokemon. I put it on one of my favorite dresses, but because of the long satin stitches I used as fills, the whole thing got utterly destroyed in the wash. I had to remove the patch completely, and the glue I used stained the dress permanently.
ОтветитьWhat about a cotton tee with less stretch? Is that more successful?
ОтветитьOh, I get it now. Thank you for this video.
ОтветитьSo good and helpful!!! Thank you
ОтветитьEXCELLENT! So helpful!
ОтветитьHow can I place the shape I made on cotton fabric on another fabric?
ОтветитьDoes embroidery on hoodie also needs a stabilizer on the back ?
ОтветитьVery thorough! Thanks! ❤️
Ответитьwhen applying the stabilizer, could you just apply it on the shirt inside out since the positioning would be the same when flipped back? would make it a lot easier to apply the stabilizer on the flat shirt inside out rather than trying to fit it through the neck hole
ОтветитьI think your video is excellant. Thank you. I have used the starch paper for machine sewing one time. It was a lot of fun.
ОтветитьMy friend use to embroider over stains on her kids clothes. Jeans need a strong needle.
ОтветитьThank you for the very informative video! I’m a beginner embroider and wanted to do something on a shirt for a friend and had no idea how to proceed. Thank you for the guidance!
ОтветитьNice work ❤🛎️
Ответитьthank you so much!! this video is so clear and helpful. I especially appreciate the product recommendations-- there are so many different stabilizers out there, it's hard to know where to start. I have a question: when working with a product like super solvy and using a permanent marker (like a micron pen) to trace a design, do I have to worry about the black marker showing through the final embroidery piece if I use light colored threads? If anybody out there knows the answer or has thoughts/opinions, I'd love to hear them!
ОтветитьReally enjoyed your explanation thank you😊
Ответить❤ΤΕΛΕΙΟ!!!!
Ответитьthank you for this!
ОтветитьWhen deciding where you want the design to go, I think it would be easier to turn the sweater inside out and then place the stabilizer. It eliminates the guesswork and finagling
ОтветитьWhat needles do you use on jeans? Sweatshirts? Sweaters?
Ответитьi’m new to embroidering on clothes and i’ve been struggling to find helpful info for beginners, this is absolutely AMAZING and is extremely helpful. thank you SO much!!
ОтветитьThank you! I've just finished the classic white linen shirt I love and it's just begging for a design.
Are those your 2 dogs? Perfect subject for a sweat shirt. Cute! Looks like a mom and her pup.
DMC in my opinion is the gold standard in threads. The best quality & variety of colors.
Love your tats btw.
Can you embroyd on a cotton shirt? If so, do you need a stabiliser?
ОтветитьThanks for sharing all this information, very clear and many options to choose from
ОтветитьIs the Pellon tear away stabilizer supposed to stay with the clothing? I mean, it looks like you just teared away the excess part, and the part that supported the embroidery was still there?
ОтветитьVery helpful
ОтветитьI want to do embroidery on my jacket sleeves, will it itch?? that's what I'm afraid of LOL I have been doing embroidery for a few years but never on clothing!
ОтветитьStick & Stitch! I've waited my whole to find some invention to be able to stitch my Levi jacket!! Many thanks to you!❤❤❤
ОтветитьThis was so helpful! Great video thank you <3
ОтветитьThank you for this video!! Was always planning to try to embroider on clothes but its so hard finding the right video 😭💜💜
ОтветитьI’m new to embroidery and a new follower and can I just say your videos are the absolute best! Thank you so much for explaining things so clearly, and for the wonderful recommendations. I only wish I had gotten into this craft sooner!
ОтветитьDo you put anything over the inside/back of the stitches once it’s done?
ОтветитьThis was a really great video! Thank you for being so in depth and speaking on the product and showing how you use them. Extremely helpful!
Ответитьsuper helpful! Thank you.
ОтветитьGood idea. Thanks.
ОтветитьDo you need to fully take off the stabilizer inside/under the fabric after you’re done or just the leftover on the outside of the design? I’m assuming we leave what’s sort of inside the design and not really visible
ОтветитьThank you for sharing your knowledge! :) I’m new to embroidery & you have extremely helpful.
ОтветитьExcellent video, very clear, concise and helpful. Subscribed :)
Ответитьcan i just say, the fact that you did more than one type of clothing to embroider on is fantastic because i haven't watched anyone else explain that yet. im just beginning to hand embroider and would like to sell my stuff. so me watching this video was really helpful towards me being able to do that. thank you.
ОтветитьCould you also hand draw on the stick and stitch fabric instead of printing?
ОтветитьThank you for sharing. Love all the tips and tricks. I love do 3D embroidery on denim. But it always cringkle or stretch all over my embroidery edges. May I have the tips so I can have a nice fine embroidery without cringkle all over the edges? Thank you so much before 💖💖💖💖
ОтветитьThank you so much for this video! 🙏 I have not embroidered in over 40 years and these tips will help me get back into the groove with confidence! 😀
ОтветитьYou are a saint! A thousand times thank you for adding links in the description, I've been searching for hours but I didn't really know what to look for, I was super close to giving up.
ОтветитьSuper helpful, I knew that a tee would be difficult to stitch. Thank you for your video
Ответитьyou're the fucking coolest
ОтветитьThis is such a helpful video! Thank you thank you!! I didn't know about the stick n stitch
ОтветитьThis is amazing, thank you so much for all the effort you went to for this. You have covered all of my questions and more that I hadn't yet thought of. I also have ADHD so I struggle sitting through entire videos but everything was relevant and the information/tips were all presented in a very chronological way, so it kept my interest the whole way through. At the moment I'm only doing my first embroidery and I'm sewing purchased patches onto a jacket but this is the next step that I want to learn so I am writing a shopping list of the tools I will need for this next step. Thanks again.
ОтветитьThanks so much for your clear instructions. I'm going to try some denim jeans. Thanks again.
ОтветитьHi. Can you embroider on crocheted fabric?
ОтветитьVery nice 👌
ОтветитьCan I use any thread for embroidery or should I only use embroidery threads ?
Ответить
