Where can i buy this and how much
ОтветитьGood video and nice install but the power cable looks crap
ОтветитьWhat is the coolest temp that this model can blow out ?
ОтветитьI installed one of these over a year ago. Fantastic unit a bit noisy but does what it’s supposed to. I have since bought two more electricq mini splits and they are also fantastic. For the money they are great.
ОтветитьHow's it been so far, any updates? Good or bad
ОтветитьDoes it heat with an element or as a heat pump?
Ответитьgreat video mate - especially about the drill. thanks
ОтветитьHi how long did it take you to install from start to finish pls ?
ОтветитьCan it be fitted to a inner interior wall? Where do the vents go? The other side of the wall I want to fit it to is my hallway.
ОтветитьI got one of these last year for heating rather than cooling. It's great for the shoulder months, but I find when it drops below 5C outside it stops working, or at least delivered a lot less heat for the amount of energy consumption. Constant defrost cycling. The heat exchanger is probably too small and compact to be able to defrost effectively. I'm sure it works well for cooling though.
ОтветитьHi i have had one of these units for a while now am i right in thinking it does not turn itself off when it reaches the desired temp because mine stays on the whole time please correct me if im wrong but arnt heaters surpose to turn them selves off once thy reached desired temp
ОтветитьDoes anyone know how to take the casing off these units? I'm on my second one (replacement) and this one's going the same way as the first one. It's got a lot of gear noise - sounds like a gear train with no oil or grease
ОтветитьI’m looking at one on same website it uses 1.5kw which if running for 24 hours wud cost a fortune how efficient is urs with getting to temp and cutting out etc thanks
ОтветитьHave you too experienced that the unit will not heat with outside temps of 5degrees or lower? ❄️
ОтветитьI wonder if this woukd be ok on qn extremely thin wall. The outer wall of my house is upvc couple inch think at best. Can i shorten the two vent pipes that easily.
ОтветитьThanks for the great video. Looking at the price 10 months later, they're now £799 for this model. Now that's what I call inflation!
ОтветитьA portable air con unit is noisy typically about 60db, the one in the video is 58db so is still VERY loud. Safe yourself £800 and two holes in your house and buy a portable one, they're just as bad. If you want PROPER air conditioning that's quiet get a split system.
ОтветитьCan you buy covers for the exhdust in winter
ОтветитьI live in a block of flats. How loud is the outside noise for neighbours in the summer when their windows are open? If the vents are positioned within a couple of meters of the open windows, is the noise likely to be clearly audible from inside their flat?
ОтветитьHi there,
I’m trying to get this air con, but my studio is 14Sqm, but the distance between my wall and the window are about 90cm, this says it’s 100cm width but would this still be fine to use?
its noisy as fuck
ОтветитьWhat the lowest temperature it goes?
ОтветитьI live on the 37th floor, know for a fact I cannot have this fit in, but I still watched the whole video 😂. Amazing instructions and review!
ОтветитьNope , definitely not as efficient as a mini split. Not much better than a cheapy from homebase
ОтветитьGreat vid. How long is the power cable?
Ответитьwhat a fantastic vidoeo, i need to install some air con units in my new house and was wondering how i could do this myself! Great tutorial thank you for sharing!
ОтветитьYeh thats exactly what you want a evaporator & a condenser rattling away in your bedroom 😂
Ответить@dad and Dex chores. How is this performing now you've had it a year?
ОтветитьThanks for this video; it’s interesting.
However, my heart sank when you started drilling with no dust sheets to cover your bed, bedding and furniture! 🤦🏻♀️
I know how much dust that a core drill generates!
Many years ago, I rented an industrial diamond core drill for a day, from HSS Hire, to drill through my kitchen wall for my tumble dryer vent. I sectioned off the area under the kitchen counter by attaching an old sheet to contain the dust completely, even though I drilled from outside. HSS staff mentioned the risk of the drill snapping my wrist but I was careful and used it without any problems (I’m a female DIY’er).
Also, I wouldn’t be keen on using the roll up plastic vent sleeves as they’re not sealed like a vent pipe. You can buy solid plastic pipe in that size which won’t allow any of the exhaust moisture to get into your wall cavity.
I do really like the design of fitting the vent grilles from inside the room, as it certainly saves climbing high ladders outdoors!👍🏼
You've covered everything I could think of, great video, hats off to you sir
ОтветитьDo you know if the unit is an inverter?
ОтветитьThat looks a really good unit, was that brick you were cutting through, I hope you wore a mask, thanks!
ОтветитьHi, thank you for your video it was very informative, 🎉 my question is I'm about to set one of these up in kennels,, will this let smell that is inside of the room out? Any information would be much appreciated, 😊
ОтветитьDunno about 2 massive holes in my wall for a machine that might last 5-7 years then you can’t buy the same machine again. Not a concern?
ОтветитьCan i install this in my loft?, will the vents be ok to be vented into the loft space or does it need to be vented to the outside?
ОтветитьIsnt it illegal to do it yourself ? Unless your trained of course.
ОтветитьMight as well use a portable unit if the noisy compressor is indoors
ОтветитьWhy not just get a portable one that is 12000btu
ОтветитьIs it as noisy as a stand alone unit where you put the pipe out the window?
ОтветитьIt's now £799.98
ОтветитьI’ve fitted one and it’s really great. I bought it mainly for cooling although as a heater it’s very efficient providing the outside temp isn’t too near freezing! If it is the unit will freeze up and stop working as it doesn’t have a defrost cycle. Thanks for the tip on connecting to the internet that had caught me out until I watched your blog.
ОтветитьI core drilled a 180mm hole with the titain and the clutch stopped working almost snapped my wrist
Ответитьa long bar full of holes 🤣🤣🤣
Ответить1 year after you posted the video.... do you have any regrets? Would you recommend it? I am thinking to get it for the garage (we have converted it into a gym)
ОтветитьGreat video . Cheers. 2.63 kw out for 730 watts in heating , is cop 3.6 which would make about cost efficent as gas ( and probaly external temp dependant ) , but would make a super addition to my daughters electric only flat .
ОтветитьI need help trouble shooting this FL code please help
ОтветитьIt's a bit ugly, I'd prefer the split types!
ОтветитьIf I installed on the landing would it give me enough heat through all the bedrooms? Or best to get a unit for each room?
Ответить
