ОтветитьJack tastes like shit hahah
ОтветитьI love Jack Daniel's
ОтветитьA year later, No.7 and Beam white label are the definition of "average" whiskey. There's nothing wrong with them, but there's nothing great either. just solid, baseline, product.
That said, I think baseline is the issue with the score system, having seen quite a few of the scores that came after this. There is a LOT of room for improvement, with lots of variation in products that are better than the baseline products, where as there are few cases where any product anyone should ever buy is going to be significantly worse than a Beam 4 year or Jack No.7. I think the scores would be more useful with these baseline products given something like a 10 score to leave lots of room above, otherwise at a 50, anything worth buying will always have a score of 50 or above on the main categories. With Jack and Jim being right at the entry level for "bourbon" as far as pricing, there's just no reason to ever buy something that's worse, even at the same price, so there's nothing wrong with giving an awful bottle a zero score, or saying, "hey, this bottle is so bad you shouldn't buy it, get Jack or Jim instead, spend less money, and you'll be happier."
Every good American has a bottle of Jack on the shelf.
ОтветитьIt’s been my fav for over 20yrs. No7 always.
ОтветитьIts funny I hate a Jack and Coke because it reminds me of a time I almost literally died but I once drank it straight which is not supposed to and it was oK...deff not the best but its so much better than drinking Makers Mark straight as I rather have a Makers Mark and COke than straight which most people drink straight. Makers Mark has such a fruity taste of Caramel that it lingers in my mouth for eternity that it works well with coke because of its candy like flavor where as Jack 7 regular feels more neutral with no lingering taste
ОтветитьI usually go for the Scottish whisky which i love, but sometimes i go and buy this one nowadays. It´s something else from what i usually enjoy on a dark cold night. I really disliked it in the beginning. But then one evening after been being gifted two bottles, i really sat down and really tasted it. Not both bottles in one go i should say 😁 But my thought was "If it is popular, there has to be something to it" kind of way. It´s not a favorite, but there is something to it that really draws you back. As is mentioned in video, it is in the middle somewhere. And sometimes it is good enough to enjoy a good ol´whiskey.
ОтветитьIt's so clean long flavor I just love it friendly and makes me happy
ОтветитьI ve been drinking for long time and I could settle for this girl Even tho she's called jack
ОтветитьMy best drink so far cheap or cost I enjoyed it every time I have the opportunity to drink it
ОтветитьThe cure!!
ОтветитьJD is like the Budweiser of whiskey. Decent, not great. Affordable, available, and it's made well.
ОтветитьTennessee whiskey usually has a very high corn mash bill. This links it more with the corn whiskies of the deep south more than with Kentucky Bourbon, which usually uses more rye, and has a stronger link with the Pennsylvania and Maryland rye whiskies. That's probably nonsense but it sounds good doesn't it haha
ОтветитьNO IT ISN'T BETTER THAN I THINK..THE SINGLE BARRELS AND THE 12YR. IS GOOD JACK BLACK NOT SO MUCH
ОтветитьIt's like the Coca-Cola of whiskey. Your blind test was on point
ОтветитьGreat video!
I like the scoring system with most of the weight being on aroma and flavor and taking other factors like price and availability into account. And this system puts Jack Daniel's right where it should be, like you said it is a very widely available, quality whiskey, at a fair price. It's not going to knock your socks off, but it's definitely good just on its own.
Missed one important metric. Mixability. JD and Coke is hard to beat.
ОтветитьA bottle of jack on the global scene is very much like a zippo lighter. Better lighters and whiskey exists but the people want jack and Zippo. Give me a bottle qnd a lighter and ill take a group of twelve out to some fine dining in Sicily, twice. my bar does not have any jack but my bugout bag has it. And the Zippo.
ОтветитьMy favourite whiskey. Being a metal musician I'm definitely biased by the legend of it but I like the taste and it gets me in the right mood for a night out. The best whiskey is the one you like to drink with the people you like to drink it with
ОтветитьI love how jack flavor is the easiest flavor in the world to pick out and still you were so shocked lol. Its cheap , you can get a nice mouth feel and it doesnt light your mouth on fire so you can taste the flavors better. There is a reason it sells so well. On top of it has a very wet thirst quenching finish in a weird way, like how most whiskies dry your mouth out.
ОтветитьNO!! jack is 100% a Bourbon Fact101🎉🎉🎉
ОтветитьJack and Coca Cola were made for each other. That’s really the only way I’ll drink Jack, other than shooters when I’m trying to drink for effect.
ОтветитьIt's about how I exactly thought it was
ОтветитьIt's acceptable, when you have it with cola and ice.
ОтветитьEven Buffalo Trace can be found at the same price, so strive for something better than No. 7! You can get Evan Williams BiB for $10 less!
ОтветитьAwesome review!
Enjoyed the video.
As a lemmy, its a good mixer
ОтветитьSays Iv drank so much Jack Daniel’s yet can’t pick it out of a line up. Lmfao. Your a fake
ОтветитьI wanted a bottle of gentleman jack tonight to celebrate a new job, but for $4 I got a bottle of No7. I couldn't be happier with my decision this evening...
ОтветитьBut isn't that company one of the woke mind virus companies
ОтветитьI live in Canada, tariffs were supposed to start today and in retaliation the LCBO (Liquor store in Ontario, the only way to buy booze) was going to stop selling American products. I bought 4 1.75L Jack Daniels yesterday, and the tariffs didn't even happen. Oh well, I have jack for the next year now I guess.
ОтветитьJack Daniels NO7 is a bottom shelf whiskey. Not a great bottom shelf whiskey, but the bottle looks good on a shelf. If Jack was a restaurant,it would be a McDonalds.
A McDonalds in the ghetto.
Jack Daniels is and always will be the whiskey of youth.
ОтветитьThe best whiskey ever made!
ОтветитьThat was nearest Green's son. There's no known photo of the nearest Green
ОтветитьI didn't actually know the same parent company owned Old Forester and Jack Daniels. Funny because I love Old Forester Rye, but i've never been able to develop a taste for Black Jack.
ОтветитьI have tried all kinds of bourbon whiskey that cost as much as 250.00 a bottle and no whiskey i ever tried is as good as Jack Daniels Old number 7 for 25.00 bucks per bottle.
ОтветитьWe boycotting you crap drink in Canada shouldn’t tariff a friend I guess…. Derp derp
ОтветитьLegally it is a bourbon
ОтветитьCanada pulled off the shelf. Bwhahahah. Most of those earning a living for their families at this producer probably voted for the orange idol. Bwhahahah. No bonus this year ladies…..gonna hurt when that pick’em up truck gets repo’ed….Bwhahahah….got what you voted for??????? Hurts doesn’t it…..Bwhahahah
ОтветитьAs a Tennessee man, I only recently developed a taste for Jack, as I used to stick with Kentucky bourbon. I’ve recently switched over to Jack, and man life’s been good. Hahah 👍
ОтветитьI love Makers Mark more.. despite the high % of alcohol it’s milder
ОтветитьHere in Australia, a bottle of 750 ml black JD cost 68 dollars. Its expensive but if you don't drink too much it's worth the price. The smoothest whiskey I know. The taste coupled with regular coke is delicious
ОтветитьIs one of my favorite whiskey , decent price and good .
ОтветитьThe only thing I objectively don't like about Old No.7 is the bitterness I get at the back of my mouth. I'm new to whiskey so there's that acidic burn, which I don't like but I'll get used to that. The apple liqeur JD isn't my favorite either, but I think that has a bit less, off the bitterness.
ОтветитьThey have it in Singapore in the grocery store.
ОтветитьI've been drinking JD for over 50 years. It's my favorite! Price is always good and affordable. I like the simple sweetness and smoothness of Old #7. Neat, on the rock, or with a RC Cola, it's my go to whiskey. Availability is a big plus no matter if you are talking whiskey or motor oil for your vehicle! They have other products if you need more proof, flavor, or kick. ;) My nephew just texted me from Ireland, in a bar, on a business trip. I asked him if they had JD, yep, 2 bottles on the back bar! ;)
