ОтветитьIf you ever visit Australia, don't say "root", it means the same thing as "fuck".
ОтветитьI don't get upset over the war of independence , after all, we WON the War of 1812! YES WE DID! AND NRW ORLEANS DIDN'T COUNT@ BECAUSE YOU'D ALREADY SIGNED THE SURRENDER! NYAH NYARDY NYAH NYAH!
ОтветитьWe have some real idiots I am sure your reporters they all try to find the least educated human being and interview him or her so people are people no matter where you go
ОтветитьNo please I enjoy the accents
ОтветитьYou need to hear about Yankee ghosts in the dugout ,
ОтветитьI think they are just joking when they ask about if you know the Queen.
ОтветитьWARNING: in Australia "Root" means the same as "Fuck".
ОтветитьI wish I had a pond for every American and japanese tourist I met outside Stratford tube station and had to explain that they were NOT withing walking distance of Anne Hathaway's Cottage!
Ответитьthose lost The American Revolutionary War= also known as the Revolutionary War or the American War of Independence
ОтветитьA friend of mine also met Camilla in a private house he was working at. He also said she was lovely and down to earth, Even though he was paid as staff, she came down late one night, sat, had a chat with him and made her own hot drink.
ОтветитьAmericans of my age most certainly know of Liverpool.
ОтветитьMy mother use to drink hot tea with coffee creamer. I still drink it to this day and I'm 56 years old.
ОтветитьAnd sure enough, she does have a connection to The Middletons. Not such a dumb fucking question after all. And he HAS been to Buckingham Palace. This dick-ish vid smacks of snobbery & Anglocentrism.
ОтветитьYou don't know America was originally a British colony??? Been to school, or just dance class & the gym?
ОтветитьHad America not won the War of Independence we would all be speaking English now. Also, it is not possible to be very far from London and remain in the United Kingdom. One would either find himself in the sea or a completely different nation.
ОтветитьLots of us know the other names of your towns. If you live in Massachusetts one of the six New England states. We have a Worcester, Plymouth, Gloucester, Wakefield, Manchester, New Hampshire, etc.
ОтветитьSo, maybe a stupid question, but what's the difference between the 'trains' and the 'tube'??
ОтветитьHere's a question :
If a lab made hundreds of clones of the Queen, how many copies of her could you take in a fight before they bring you down?
If I hear the word route pronounced like rawte, I always think of old time battles where one side runs away, & is chased by the other. Also, the word for that is spelled rout.
ОтветитьI'm surprised that anyone would care.
ОтветитьMy mom drinks tea several times a day. Hot tea with milk. We are from New York originally but now live in North Carolina. Down here not many drink Hot tea. Only sweet iced tea.
ОтветитьHysterical episode! Here's a factoid for your enjoyment:
The British Empire was the largest empire in history covering a quarter of the total Earth's surface.
Wow! I'm shocked that you didn't know that Britain ruled America!
Ответитьmm/dd/yyyy or dd/mm/yyyy?
ОтветитьI feel like "root" is as common as "rowt" here in the states. I think I usually say "root" but have been known to say "rowt" from time to time. I think most people say "Root sixty-six" when talking about the iconic drive from Chicago to L.A.
ОтветитьI know where the big name areas are... Like Manchester/Wigan, Leeds, New Castle, London. I really want to visit but I really would prefer to stick to smaller towns like Rye or Clovelly.
ОтветитьNorth East Americans tend to say 'root', the South tend to say 'route'. For example, they might say "paper root", I would say "paper route".
Ответитьwhen I was in New York I got asked if I knew The Queen, Elton John, I said "I know who they are but not personally", it isn't as if they go into Tesco's on a Friday and everyone meets them
ОтветитьI was taught about the war of independence in school back in the sixties
ОтветитьJ &L: "It's a misconception: No, we don't all know the Queen."
L: "But I am loosely connected to Kate Middleton."
J: "And I do know Camilla."
So...just not the current Queen*? 🤣
*Or whatever "___ Consort" title Camilla gets.
i , as a human being care more about the world then England or Yankees, k? got it?
ОтветитьI'm from Germany and I think, if you two don't even know the original connection between England and America, you two should stop making videos about 'dumb Americans'! 🤣
ОтветитьTo many questions to keep track of
Ответитьhow about :
Twenny for twenty
wader for water
cidy for dity
and so on .....
Whoa. Is this the genesis of Itchy Mitchy?
ОтветитьYou've obviously never heard of Route 66. We don't rout 66 but like root 66.
ОтветитьNever wanna see that spankee hat again....Let's Go, A's!!!
ОтветитьIs this for real? I mean seriously? I cant believe anyone is that daf!!! She isnt even British. The girl is Greek.
ОтветитьWhy is he wearing a New York Yankees baseball cap?
ОтветитьI pronounce "route" both ways. It depends on situation.
ОтветитьMy brother in law had a couple of Aussies living at his place. They don't sound like the English.
ОтветитьWhat!? LOL!! This video showed up in my list, but I'm not going to click on it and listen, even though I generally watch your other videos. The reason is because you two always, always, always ask questions to Americans, but yet, you're going to say "these are questions Americans need to stop asking British people." Why not let it go both ways? There are tons of things I want to know why people across the pond say and do because it leaves me baffled and amused.
ОтветитьThe way the Americans say Moscow is painful to the ears, it’s like cutlery scrapping on a plate, 😖
ОтветитьDo you not hang out with intelligent people. Iv never had this. Has to be fake
ОтветитьA root is the bottom of a plant. Like carrots and potatoes and beets, which are root vegetables. (Also "the root of the problem". And square roots. And root words, which we don't actually ever say obviously since we are not all etymologists.) The amount of Americans who say "root" instead of "route" is zero, because "root" is not a word in that context.
ОтветитьThe Brits have tea on the middle of battle.
ОтветитьIn the US people pronounce "route" as "root" as well as the way Brits pronounce it. I've come across more people that pronounce it as "root".
