Seriously, I can't be the only one irritated by this every time one of her spells doesn't work the way she wants it to?

I'm listening to the audio podcast of this, and I'm fast forwarding through large parts... the whole primordial arc is killing me... I hope it's worth it here... Travis' wants to do something, but 6 different "hey, we should do this" for what seems an hour only to go "oh damn, we can't actually do any of that... To the temple"... this is a fine example of how high level play needs proper moderation... a proper leader from the PCs, or the GM/Director saying "you got 5 minutes until there's an escalation, no plan, and something bad happens"...

Grog sure is smart for a 6 INT...

I'm just so confused how they spent 6+ hours inside of the titan and never once thought of trying to kill the titan's heart.

Aw man... I was really curious whose temple that was. I wanted to know what deity was worshiped by the crazy, cannibalistic dwarven society. But they didn't investigate anything beyond that anglerfish lure of a crystal.

After this episode, I’ve never been more grateful for Misty Step.

First time watching C1 and all I can say it’s so wierd that as I watched and landed on this episode it’s crazy to me that it landed close to the day they actually played it. Like the month etc also with their bdays. 😂

Watching this in October of 2024 when one hurricane just tore the East Coast apart and another is aiming to destroy Tampa soon. The intro comment from Matt and crew about the two hurricanes tearing through in ~2016-17 (hard to tell with these uploads sometimes) was incredibly eerie

I love how in character they are when they roleplay. When they entered the "lungs", everyone was looking up and making surprised faces at the high ceiling, and Percy squinted trying to see the bioluminescent fungus in what for him is penumbra. I play the exact same way and I love it

I know this is nearly a decade later but Matt really needed one of those sticks the casino dealers use to move the pieced around lol

They were doing supremely creditable English accents until they were faced with a mirror

not gonna lie, this was hard to watch. Vecna simply wins if this pile of meat falls on THE CITY OF FAITH, and they are talking... they're talking about... long rest and shinny things. I bet Matt was holding himself because of the show, if it was a home game he would've probably reminded them of the literall evil god 30 minutes from becoming the most adored beign while they're like the zombies looking at the glass.

If the wall of force is invisible. Then any spell that doesn’t travel but instead just happens at the point you cast it at should work .

its a little frustrating c=going back to campaign one whenever they do stealth checks if one of them fails it fails for the whole group. theres no point trying to stealth as a group if thats the case. at least with a group check multiple people have to fail which makes it a bit more feasible.

Sometimes their antics remind me of Abby and Costello or Monty Python

Every ten minutes Matt mentions things crumbling and rocks falling because the titan walking and the general destruction of a city being ripped out of the ground, yet Grog gets noticed.

It would have been so funny if they had to use the immovable rod, considering it would have stayed in place while their surroundings would continue to trudge forward.
