My oven has been out of action, the parts have now arrived and tomorrow it’s being repaired. I can’t wait to make my Christmas cake - I’ve a bottle of Paddy reading and waiting for the fruit. I could almost smell yours. Thank you for a wonderfully uplifting film. The music was so joyful - a pair of great musicians.

Are you making any of your Traditional Irish Christmas Cake with marzipan topping and icing for shipping to U.S. (Florida)? Also, the recipe did not give marzipan or icing recipes. It looks delicious.

I feel like I've been on a delightful adventure this afternoon with you Terri, thank you so much! The ocean is an energy I inhale and feel alive in, and helps me feel whole. Gratitude :-) My son can not eat gluten foods and I was wondering if you'd had success with another distilled liquor to marinate the Christmas cake with? I made a cake last year for the first time and tried rum but nobody liked it. I love the marzipan for a sealer of moisture, it sounds delicious, also. Loving thanks.

Wonderful video as always. Lucky you folk to make your trip over to Inishbofin. Obviously there is more there to see. As you said it would be lovely to find the sacred wells and to wander through the old graveyard to look at those ancient headstones. Here too it has been dreary, windy and very rainy for weeks now, all of the last few weeks of October and now these past weeks into November. Thankfully September here was a good month with sunshine and pleasant weather. Enjoy these next weeks as Christmas approaches. Cheers!
