1)Till 1992 there was no clarity if climate change was happening or not. While a few said that climate change is because of human intervention others say that it was cyclical in nature.
2) After thorough research a summit was convened at Rio de Janerio where human activity has been held as the reason for depleting climate quality. It led to the creation of a framework due to there being no concrete solution to mitigate degrading climate conditions.
3) The framework provided that, there will be a meeting of COP which is elaborated as conference of parties. This will address how climate change can be mitigated. 70% of the greenhouse gases were because of production and consumption of energy. This was the reason for cleaner forms of energy that was shot after then coal or other fossil fuels with a general belief looming large that digging out the land for the extraction of energy would prove to be perilous for the future generations. This led to difference between understanding renewable and non-renewable energy.
4) what are those renewable energy sources that can full fill the requirement of energy? Thermal Power is one of them. However one megawatt of thermal power requires 1 acre of land. Similarly for one megawatt of wind energy one requires 2 acres of land. When went potential is analyse if the wind turbine is made with 50 gigawatt capacity , sufficient energy can still not be generated for meeting the requirements of the entire nation. One needs to shift to the next alternative which is solar energy. The total potential of solar power is 1500 giga awards which can easily sustain the population of India for a very long time. Solar should be developed in masses due to which land becomes a very big problem. For this land laws need to be studied. Given that land and Agriculture are state subjects and the constitutional law one needs to convert agricultural land into non-agricultural purpose land in failure of which it will be considered as illegal. All different states have land laws that are different from one another and the person has to properly adhere to the land law of the respective State in which the solar panel is decided to be set up.
