Spectacular video! Thank you!
Well done, kudos, brava, subscribed.
Hi Alisa! Thank you for your review. How is your serger working out now thats it’s been a couple of years. I’m about to purchase one and am looking at Brother 1034DX. Just wanting first hand info from someone who owns one.
ОтветитьI would like to know if I can use elastic thread in the serger sewing machine 1034dx thank you , can I do sherring. On a garment if so how can I do it thanks again bs
ОтветитьI have a question that I'm hoping you can answer. I'd like to finish seams on the serger using the variegated (or rainbow) thread. How many cones of the variegated thread should I use on the four cones serger? Thanks, in advance for any help or suggestion.
ОтветитьI would like to know more about coverstitch machines
ОтветитьThis is the first video of yours that I have ever seen and it was so well done and informative. Just subscribed and can’t wait to learn more.
ОтветитьRegarding the cost of thread: use Joann 40-50% off coupons. When you consider the cost of a small spool of thread, and a huge serger thread spool, they are not expensive. The only serger thread I’ve ever run out of is white. They last forever. Also, when you change colors, put the two fullest spools to the right side.
ОтветитьΠώς μπορώ να αγοράσω τον κοπτοραπτη?
ОтветитьThank you! Very helpful information
Ответить❤💛❤💛
ОтветитьOn hiding the tails, I use a large needle, just like the crochet hook.
ОтветитьWow, I sure wish I could have seen a video like this years ago when I first started sergering. Great instructions thank you.
ОтветитьI've never used a serger but am thinking of purchasing one. Is it necessary to use all spools of thread at once for the machine to work?
ОтветитьGreat video. I always enjoy watching your sewing
ОтветитьI've read that it's not a good idea to use serger thread on a regular sewing machine. It's thinner and weaker and is made for the high speed of a serger and in multiple thread applications (usually 3 or 4 thread overlock stitches). It can result in poor stitches on a sewing machine and you'll be trying to adjust the tension when it's really the thread that's the problem.
Ответитьhide the ends by sewing back through with a yard needle. threading my serger intimidates me, so i try not to change threads. i'm also uncomfortable in removing my blade. i don't trust the length i need to create ruffles with my attachment. i love my machine but i don't use it as much as i want to because of these issues. thanks for the information.
ОтветитьNew with my serger! Thank you 😊
ОтветитьThank-you so much for all your videos! They have been incredibly helpful. I used the flat stitch on the bottom of a t-shirt, disengaged the knife and there are holes along the seam. I am so disappointed! It's an expensive t-shirt and I really wanted to simulate the same ladder effect. Do you know why the holes appear? It's like the fabric has been torn.
ОтветитьI buy serger thread from Wawak. On sale $1.79 for the coats and clark thread.Goes on sale about every 4-6 weeks.
ОтветитьI found serger thread cones at Walmart for under $5 bucks.
ОтветитьKindly recommend for me a good serger that is affordable and economical
ОтветитьThank you for sharing your valuable knowledge about the surger sewing machine.
I see your tutorials from Puerto Rico.
Please do more for serger.
ОтветитьSince sewing thread is thicker and stronger than serger thread, when you are using the same thread on your serger, are you using sewing machine thread?
ОтветитьCould you possibly tell me which serger your husband bought for you?
Ответитьthank you so much. I had learned some tricks I didn't know.
ОтветитьI love that you use the Brother. That is the one my husband gave me as a present 🎁 also. You are so clear with all the things you review or explain to us. Thank you for your time & help ✌
ОтветитьThis is the worst. I had two and returned both. Had professionals also try them out and agreed they are terrible. Bought a VICTORY and love, love, love it. Worth every penny.
ОтветитьWhat serger do you recommend for someone who has no clue about sergers?
ОтветитьHi. I am a new fan. I like your channel so much. It’s so helpful. I just got a Brother 1634dc serger. I haven’t try it yet. I’m a bit nervous
ОтветитьThis is my second time watching you- I just got my first serger for my birthday! Your video was so fun to watch. You seem so sweet and your voice was lovely. Made me smile. Felt like you were in my sewing room helping me learn!
ОтветитьThere is a big difference i THICKNESS bewein typical serger thread, and an ordinary thread. This may come from the "old fashioned" way of thinking? If you want ONLY to serge without secure the seem with a topp-stisch, use an ordinary 40/60 thread in the leftmost Needle.
Ответитьwhat am I doing wrong I have it threaded. It will not loop. It comes out straight??
ОтветитьIf your serger thread is cotton, there's going to be a whole lot of lint in your sewing machine
.
I have a Baby Lock Celebrate serger.
It has no tension nobs onthe outside because its automatic, as well as having Air-Flow looper treading
Since my sewing machine has a window behind it, I just put my cones in a little jar, then thread it over the curtain rod, and then down to my machine.
ОтветитьI've heard that seger thread is a 1/3 of the weight as 'regular' sewing machine thread.i tried serher thread in my sewing machine and it did not work out at all!
ОтветитьYou have so many good tricks. You give me so much confidence. I had a Simplicity 30 years ago. Now I have the same serger as you and I’m very rusty. Thanks and greetings from New York City! 👍🏼🇵🇷🗽😀
ОтветитьIf you use only 3 needles then MY first color will be second needle ? ( pink handle)
ОтветитьThanks for the handy tips
ОтветитьCan anyone help me find a manual for this machine? Ep550
ОтветитьI have not used this trick but another sewer said she buys one thread and makes bobbins for the other threads. However, you will need something to place on top of those bobbins so they will stay put.
ОтветитьBrilliant video, I am soooooo glad you posted! I am very new to using a serger and just starting out! Managed to create a spool of serger thread for my sewing machine yesterday with a long pin wider that the thread bobbin, it was spinning at 100 miles per hour and worked!
ОтветитьAnother thing is “it lasts forever!” Lol (the surgery thread)
ОтветитьI buy those spools for my sewing machine anyway a lot cheaper and I bought a stand to hold it it holds 3 cones a lot of ppl on the fb groups say that u shud my use serger thread in a sewing machine and tut wen I say I do lol
ОтветитьGreat information! What brand of thread do you suggest or use in your brother serger?
ОтветитьSo is the only difference between a serger and an overlock is the trim off the fabric feature??
ОтветитьCan you please do some more videos with a coverstitch machine 😊
ОтветитьWhat is a cover stitch machine and would love to see more about it. New to your channel and enjoyed it thanks.
ОтветитьMy lower loop keeps breaking
