From the dental assistant in me: Please make sure you’re brushing your teeth with soft bristled brushes (I know that the medium/hard feels like it does more but it actually damages your enamel). ALSO electric toothbrushes are very effective at plaque removal and now usually come with a 2 min timer. How perfect for a college student!! Most of the students we see after they’ve been at college come back with a bunch of cavities. So brush and floss good!

Try the Harry’s razors, the blue handle is our favorite one, I love using it, I just buy the refile razors. I haven’t used a female razor in almost 2 years because that one is literally the best!!! My boyfriend literally changes the blade and we just use one handle 🤣

Hi Eryn! As a college senior I highly recommend buying a good computer instead of physical school supplies! A lot of professors require that you are able to download and edit documents, and I don’t know how every college is but I can say for mine that I have turned in every single assignment for my school in online since March 2020, even after we went back in person. English assignments in particular are required to be submitted online because they are run through a digital plagiarism checker. Honestly, a computer is the only thing you %100 need. I hope your college experience is awesome! Good luck!

Something that my parents bought that I really used all the time was a step stool! I never thought I’d need that but I used it for stuff every day. They also bought me stuff to put on the walls and hang from the ceiling and I loved having some decor up. I didn’t think I needed it. But once it was up I was so grateful to have some wall decor!

Erin, take notes on paper and then transcribe them to microsoft onenote or whatever the app equivalent to that is to retain what you learned. Also most important stuff to know is anything bold/italics in your textbooks or if your professors make a point of explaining it to the class. I have ADHD and I aced my college classes by going through and typing out definitions of bolded/italic things in the textbooks to learn what I needed to score well on exams.

Hey you totally need to look into the 5 star notebook brand. You download an app on to your phone you take your notes like always then after you do your notes there are sensors on every row on your note book you scan that then it goes through your phone and you can print out notecards to study with. I bought two for my sons girlfriend and she loves them.

Eryn, I'm a college professor and my advice to you is to always keep track of your profs' office hours. Drop in to office hours and just get to know your professor. A real relationship comes in handy at the end of the semester when you're looking for extra help--plus you're going to need recommendation letters for scholarships (always look into scholarships your school has!). Another tidbit: I'm a super picky eater and will only eat philadephia rolls. Highly recommended! Yum! Have a great year, babe. You're going to rock it.
