Nice tune, good lesson. More of a challenge than it looks or sounds, but I'm working through it.

Studying this closely. Some observations/notes after a few days work:

1. It looks like you're muting the G-string with your thumb? I can do that, but I really have to wrap my hand around the neck. Does make dropping that third finger on the C# a little easier, but it's not a grip I'm used to (or comfortable with - working on it.). All in all, it's a surprising finger stretcher (for me, anyway).
2. Dropping the first finger on the E (D-string) at the last part of the phrase helps fill it out. I think.you're doing that, now and again.
3. Likewise dropping the little finger on the upper A2 (A-string)(middle of the phrase) helps fill it out. You briefly mention that in the last variation, but I find it helps in the 'simple' variations, as well.

Gonna take some time to smooth this one out, at my level.

Thanks!
