this is actually such a good example of characterization through body language. none of the ‘characters’ say a word. their only other distinguishing features are their color and the instrument they play. their forms are all very similar, with only subtle differences. yet you can still tell exactly what they’re about, just from how they move and play

this is way beyond cool. Gotta love it

Something I didnt notice, I dunno if this is your remastering or was there originally but there are little scuff marks around where the two dudes travel around, implying theyve been doing this same type of thing for long before this was recorded. Little touches like that make animusic so special

I love there is never a static moment. There is movement throughout each piece. And it's jammin' too!

I watched and loved these growing up, and now my favorite band is TOOL. Its all coming together now...

I use to watch the Animusic short films all the time on dvd back when I was a not even 10 years old back when it first came out, and watching it now in 4K 60fps as an adult, I’m even more blown away than I was back then.

Animusic I&II will forever hold a special place in my heart, and even III never gets made, I can still experience the first two, and that makes me happy

I've been transcribing this and it always brings me a newfound appreciation for anything I do, this especially has revealed that as well as the time signature being in 7, the tempo is exactly 111 so these robots must have worked at the alien gas station 7/111

a subtle detail i love that was never visible in the original resolution of this is that there are scratches on the paths the red and blue robots move along as well as on the pads they play
