Too many layers can take the dynamics out of the sound? That said, I like having different layers of Fuzz, and Beefiness that I can add together. My crazy Fuzz-a-geddon sound is Henretta Purple Octopus (Octave up) > Kingtone Ge Mini > Carcosa Silicon Fuzz (set splatty) > Dirty Little Secret (in Super Bass Mode). Taking out any one of those pedals takes it down a notch, and changes the character. Those pedals all react to rolling off the guitar volume, and picking dynamics.

Sounds good. Why didn't you use the Chase Secret Preamp with the this setup? Cheers.
