What did you think of Eric? It's definitely one of Netflix's most creative pieces in a long while. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
ОтветитьStupid, liberal corny ass series. White man, bad!!!! Black man and Latino man, just and righteous!!! White man gets cucked by good Latino man and gets pregnant, while married. Tons of unnecessary stupid, gay side stories. White politicians, bad!!!! Black policeman saves the day!!! (Dude was a fantastic actor in this, though. Unbelievably good.) White police captain, bad!!! Black homeless man, good and a hero!! White homeless girl BAD and a whore druggie. And I probably missed some additional examples of ridiculous liberal horse shit, being shoved into EVERY show, movie, and series. Enjoy.
ОтветитьByk gangguan benda lain? Mereka betul2 tak suka. Kau dah lari dari agenda mereka.
ОтветитьI stopped watching it, episode 1 when I saw the black detective making out with the older guy in bed for no apparent reason r. What was the point of that? Feels like an agenda is being forced on us through tv shows. It's not for me to consume. Same with The Last of Us and many other shows. Sad to see, I'll rather continue playing Elden Ring until something else good comes up!
ОтветитьThe ONLY question i have about the ending is what happened to the graffiti guy? i fully expected the dad to be back at the show, but i sort of though we might see that he got the graffiti guy a job on the show in the prop department or stage design or something. using his artistic abilities.
ОтветитьThere’s nothing to explain. There is no plot in this series. There are scenes with people complaining and blaming other people.
ОтветитьI turned it off after 20 min.🥳
ОтветитьAm I the only one who was absolutely pissed when we find out that Edgar ran away. All this time I thought he was kidnapped or something but no the punk ran away
ОтветитьI saw it as Vincent's battle against alcoholism and the person he'd become because of it. So it was nice when he sorted his shit out.
ОтветитьI loved it. ❤ it was very dark in places, and knowing all the characters were intertwined was hard at first . Then it all made sense. And I had a few tears at the end. I loved the music throughout it all. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
ОтветитьI loved the shots in this show shit was definitely some eye candie
ОтветитьI hated the wife cheating and having a happy ending lmao
ОтветитьWorst Sherlock season.
ОтветитьThis show is full of woke crap
Ответитьmarlon’s case made me soooooob. i’m glad edgar got a happy ending because this show would’ve left me broken, otherwise. me and my friend loved lenny and were SHOCKED to hear he was involved in the sex trafficking of minors. mikey was my mvp, and benedict was great ofc. really enjoyed this watch!
ОтветитьBenedict Cumberbatch will be considered one of the best actors to grace the screen. I first took notice of him in the mini series "The End of the Parade". His performance and the writing of this series is commendable; very smart , creative, and captivating. What is wrong with a so called happy or fairy tale ending? We sure could use more of these. Thank you, Mr. Cumberbatch.
ОтветитьOne part that is a bit confusing is when Yusuf sends Edgar and the girl out of the sewers and Edgar gets scared and basically causes them both to fall how did she end up dying but he ends up living and doesn’t explain how he got out without a scratch on him.
ОтветитьCould’ve been good but the overly gay shit with every other character being gay is just overall gay as f.. not that being gay is bad but if your not gay you don’t wanna see that gay shit.. didn’t really feel genuine just another Netflix exec shoving there gay agenda down our throat to normalize it to us since that is apparently what we need despite us wanting that.
ОтветитьDid Vincent know Lennie was a pedophile? And he just carried on working with him?
ОтветитьI felt like the monster eric made me take the show less seriously and felt really goofy. Idk the concept would have been better for a book but visually couldn’t we just have had erics voice? The costume didnt match the story im sorry. I also didnt love the acting, the detectives acting wasnt great, the dad was annoying to watch and the kid was weird 😂
ОтветитьWish I could have watched it past the first 45 min or so. Once the two dudes start kissing in bed together I turned it off.
Ответитьomg i was so confused on what happened with lennie. thank you!
ОтветитьIt’s woke crap, music was ok& that’s it imo
ОтветитьI didnt get past that yet another afro american male character has to be feminized in a Netflix movie. The movie Obiterated was also foul and disrespectful.
ОтветитьSuch a great show. I literally hated every character. Everyone was flawed but in a very entertaining way
ОтветитьI don’t know if it’s just me , but I despised the wife. I felt as if the whole time Edgar missing was more of an excuse to be a crappy person. She cheated , got pregnant with another man’s baby WHILE your own son is missing. The list goes on. I didn’t like she got a good ending .
ОтветитьIt was so good…
ОтветитьA key aspect is the one that’s discarded by Eric in the darkness you see (the light) the stars. It’s the theme of the show. The fear of the darkness that lies within the theme of accepting who you are…while morally I’m not in agreement with the agenda of “accepting who you are” I do believe that’s the theme here and quite frankly the hesitation of accepting who we are is the monster that presents itself. Only when we accept who we are (in the darkness and the literal in the sewer as the mole puts in in the puppet scene and the same literally adaptation for Eric descending to the sewers/drugs) can we see the stars (the light/ self actualization and growth Eric Ascending from the sewers and embracing who he is and focusing on benefiting others IE his son by wearing the monster that figuratively was his attributes he did not like about himself the parts that gravitated him to the darkness) the show had to end with a light up-hearted message because it’s the theme of the entire show.
ОтветитьWhy did you say Good Morning sunshine i know im kinda nit picking but come on wtf
ОтветитьI feel like vincent really got the worst of it in the end. There was that day he kept getting gut punch after gut punch, he got fired from his job, his ideas stolen, as well as his way to find his son, cassie kicked him out, admitted to not only sleeping with another man while sneaking him in and out of the house while still managing to have him meet edgar but also being pregnant with sebastians child...fuck me that is the day from hell. I feel like cassie got off a little bit easily compared to vincent, only because he accepted his faults and tried to make a change. I'm not saying he was an angel, and his addiction alienated everyone around him, definitely. His friend, family, and cassie didn't let him grieve and work through it his own way by building the puppet and finding his son.
ОтветитьSO, don't say the N word or the J word... but the Fa word is okay? how homophobically convenient. If you're going to rewrite history for cry babies, rewrite it for all. What a disgusting show. What's with the perms for all sheit?
ОтветитьI loved how they didnt hesitate to kill off characters. Makes it more intense cause anyone could die.
ОтветитьAgreed, the "feel-good ending" was an odd juxtaposition to overall dark theme of the show. But unconsciously that's what my brain wanted? For him to get back to his parents? So I got the ending I wanted but.. it still felt not right? I don't know that I agree with Edgar never really being in any "real danger". The scene where he's cast down a rope, then thrown into a room and all you can see is a bunk bed had really dark implications, even if it didn't end up being, that. Then the woman who was taking him to meet a pedo had my stomach tied in knots. And I so wanted to know what happened with Yussuf :(
ОтветитьThis show really sucked
ОтветитьAnyone else can't get the show theme song out of their heads? Just Me.
🎶 Good day sun, good day sunshine 🎶
Just finished watching the series. And the tone switches I just couldn't ignore. From Drug Addiction and Alcohol addiction, Political and Law Enforcement Corruption, PDF Files, Childhood trauma, repressing your preferences because of, the 80s, homelessness, which is even more rampant today. There were moments where I thought, is this a comedy? Just some really weird tonal shifts. Otherwise Benedict did an awesome job.
Ответитьthought this show was loosely based on the true missing person's ethan pates case
ОтветитьI loved this review. At first I was a little turned off by the monster, but then quickly realized Vincent and the monster Eric represents all of us and our inner monster that lies within us. The multiple story lines all interweaving through out each episode kept me engaged and curious about the outcome.
ОтветитьI think the kid died and the happy ending was in vince's head. He didn't have a scratch and clean clothes, doesn't make sense.
Ответитьits real alright
ОтветитьIs it possible that everything we see relating to Vincent, Edgar, and Cassie after Vincent passes out isn't real? Just the last bits of Vincent's brain activity giving him a peaceful end? When we see him come to after "Eric" kicks him his lips are blue. When we see Edgar in the diner he doesn't look at all like a kid that has been living underground for over a week, fell several feet into a flooded drain and then climbed back out. There is not a mark on him, his hair isn't matted, his hands aren't scratched or dirty, and he's clean. It's implied that Vincent had done harder drugs than he was doing currently, it is not uncommon for people to overdose the first time they go back to an old substance because their tolerance levels just aren't the same.
ОтветитьThis show stunk
ОтветитьThis show depicts what’s going on in our government. Vincents friend was basically Dan Schneider and Nickelodeon in real life. Remember the little black book? That’s for Epstein and his little black book. Netflix knows what they were doing with this show. This happens every single day.
ОтветитьOnce I ran away from home and have to live on streets and then I realised that even though my parents mentally abuse me and physically punish me to discipline yet it is far less worse than be on my own on street where I can be sexually abused or have to live sub standard life. Luckily, I had my moment of truth and without any harm was able to return back. But it shocked me from inside as I saw child prostitution on streets and pedophiles grooming or forcing children to do what they like. I pray everyday that we have the world where no-one would have to live on streets.
ОтветитьThe way they found Raya makes ne suspect that she may have drowned helping save Edgar
ОтветитьI actually really like the ending?! Even though it’s very “fairytale” I think it wrapped up Vincent’s healing arc pretty well, even verses the dark story that brought him there. Edgar has like this untouchable innocence so I did see him living until the end. We heard from the landlord as an example of Vincent’s failure as a father, he never lets his son win the race home, implying that he could never put his son above himself. I think Edgar choosing to come back on his own was the only way he could’ve effectively shown forgiveness to his dad, willing to come back home to him. We even see in this end scene Vincent waits in the middle of the street right before he gets home to let Edgar win, showing his effort towards changing and doing the right thing as a father. Loosing Edgar exposed all of Vincent’s flaws which yes, had a lot of darkness which landed him literally at rock bottom but it’s only when he pushes through the darkness in perseverance to find Edgar does he face his inner demons and finds the sunshine where he can own up to all of his mistakes and convince his son to forgive him.
I loved it and I love happy endings!! LOL
Lead lady needs a dental hygienist actually made me feel ill looking at her!
ОтветитьI was pulling for everyone to die or go to jail by the end. It wasn't well written and rhe characters would things that make no sense similar to a horror movie.
ОтветитьBro the thing about this show is the roller coaster of emotions the last two episodes put you through like when Vincent was so close to finding Edgar I was screaming at the tv like ahhh he did it he figured it out to yelling at Vincent as mad as I can be when he picked up that crack pipe was calling him every name in the book then I just cried like a baby when he told him race him home at the end was definitely a great show and good attempt at the feel good ending
Ответитьboring, off kilter story, odd they got a big star to be in it... in all : unattractive. the detective was rather cliche...with touches of wokeness.
Ответить
