ETHBoston 2024 - TACo code demo - Threshold Access Control

This workshop dives deep into Threshold Access Control (TACo). TACo is a groundbreaking decentralized access control plugin for trust-minimized, end-to-end encrypted data sharing and communication, all without any centralized point of failure.

TACo empowers applications to safeguard sensitive data by enforcing decryption policies based on predefined conditions associated with the encrypted data - all the while managing access in a decentralized manner.

Using threshold cryptography, TACo nodes on Threshold Network collaborate to decrypt data for recipients – only when the specified conditions are met. This ensures access without compromising data integrity.

Crucially, TACo operates within an end-to-end encrypted framework, ensuring that nodes cannot access the underlying data during this process.

With TACo, applications can be trust-minimized and end-to-end encrypted, crucial for decentralized applications in today’s data-driven landscape.
