Unless they are selling it at a 50% off sale price it's a mute point. Almost every ev out there is losing 50+ % of it value in the 1st year or 2. Not many people have 30-40$ to just light on fire

I really enjoy your videos. Ford is really shooting themselves in the foot. I want my father's pickup, love the safety features but I don't need 900 miles of range. I need a truck w/200 miles of range, decent capacity, and an affordable price. Give me a regular cab F-150 lightning, please. I owned several '90s Rangers because they were so affordable and had such a wide range of options. I already have a house payment, thank you very much. This is not directed at Long McArthur, just Ford. 🙂

Got my 23 Lariat from Long Mcarthur and worked with Tim and Jeff easy transaction. Anything later than a 23 they really stripped off the features and options. Glad I bought it when I did.

they are going to have to offer a longer range option to keep up with the Silverado and ciera at 450 epa. People that tow need that. And if anything, it’s just more convenient and less worrisome having more range. And it’s way cheaper to charge at home then at fast chargers.

I can go on eBay right now and buy Ford Lightnings, Chevy all electric Truck Tesla Cybeetruck Rivian R1T the latter a now PROVEN platform that IS NOT PLAYING FUCK FUCK GAMES. Rivian has ALL NEW PRODUCT EN ROUTE FOR NEXT YEAR as well so if all Ford has is a plan not to not even test CURB APPEAL buyers instead will start to flock to what IS ACTUALLY BEING DRIVEN which are Teslas, Rivians, Luicds, soon yet another brand new car Company in Aptera and now of course a battery electric Honda WHICH IS RUNNING ON THE GENERAL MOTORS SYSTEMS WITH GM ROLLING OUT A MASSIVE CHARGING INFRASTRUCTURE AT PILOT FLYING J been going on all Year that latter one actually. Nice truck to buy plywood at Home Depot, absolutely useless for RV towing. Too much travel time added for Rv trailer towing and they don’t mention you have unhook Rv trailer to charge truck. Due to length

Just saw the TFL video on the BYD pickup. US pick up makers need to make a similar truck. I know RAM is making a full sized version. But, a Ranger sized truck like the BYD would sell like crazy

I was expecting to hear about some enhancements to the truck. I didn't hear anything that sounded like an enhancement. NOT even including a NACS port on the truck in the 2025 models? Cuts and no improvements. Not a good look for Ford. Not sure how they hope to keep the Lightning alive until 2027 like this.

Fewer features, more expensive, and still no NACS native. And even with the adapter, you still don't have access to V2 Superchargers. It feels like Ford doesn't want to sell these. If you want one, buy a 2024, don't get the 2025.

Horrible decisions by Ford. I have the z2023 XLT with EB and all the bells and whistles OTD for $52k. Just spent $1500 on leather and it’s like a damn lariat. Wait until ford can’t sell these. BTW with extended battery I get around like 200 miles. It’s BS.

no on board scale!??! That was a main reason I was looking at the lightning...

Ford needs to offer the longer 6.5 foot box with a battery that has an extra foot of cells. A solar panel roof or the option for a small 3 or 4 cylinder range extender in the frunk area would be great features to help keep up with the many other trucks coming out soon. I'm not currently in the market for a new vehicle and the hybrid and electric F-150s have many great plusses, but the minuses are there too. I'm most worried because I live up north with lots of snow and ice storms, very cold temperatures, and don't trust the electrical grid during the summer with the influx of EVs. A plug-in hybrid or range-extended EV model would be best for me.

Also, I was really surprised the 2025 Expedition and Navigator weren't a hybrid or plug-in hybrid, or at least as an option.

I have 2023 XLT , 280 miles standard battery.
Love the truck because before that I was in a model 3. Huge upgrade. The truck bed was clutch for all my home renovations and landscaping projects.

The GMC Sierra EV has way more features and much better range; and is the same price as the F150 Lightning...which appears to be removing features and has an embarrassingly low range. Not sure how Ford can compete with that. Granted, the GMC has a few weird features that I see as detrimental (like the fold down back wall of the cabin).
