This is so special. Had no idea this channel existed.
What terrific families. I sensed there was something very special about these two men!
(pssssst, don't tell the others but Connor and Tanner (and Michael from Australia) are my absolute favorites. There's something about Connor that warms my heart. He's also funny as hell. His righteousness suits him well.
And Tanner....oh my God. He's such a gentle and kind soul. Such a delight. He restores my faith in humanity, knowing some youngsters still display manners!
I just love this show. And although it is a bit produced/scripted...its truly the most honest program on Netflix. It's the only show I'll watch (besides Seinfeld LOL)
And you Moms! Wow. Such gorgeous and classy role models. It's no wonder I took to these two men the most. I now see their pedigree (I've always had good taste LOL)
Thank you for sharing your lives.
Godspeed.

This was beautiful Mamas and boys. All of your kids are just amazing and we thank you for sharing them with us.
Our eldest daughter (now 22) is neurodiverse. 3 girls came after her and 1 boy, all neurotypical. (Now ages 20,19,16,13). The eldest was not diagnosed until she was 16-17, though certain characteristics were there, the puzzle wasn’t clear in our heads as parents as she was our firstborn and things like daily tantrums we just figured was a strong will. We also home educate so no teachers had her except dance teachers.
It wasn’t until puberty that symptoms seemed to increase and multiply and we were forced to come face to face with counseling and psychiatry as well.
As for the question of when did you realize your older sibling was “different”…my 2nd and 3rd born could each pinpoint an age where they each began to feel like the older sister and really notice how atypical their sister acted. I believe it was around 11 or 12 for each of them. My 20 year old is closest in age to the eldest and she just the other day said she felt a sort of abandonment by her older sister because of the shift plus eldest sister gave her closest sister and myself tge brunt of her verbal tirades, etc. She knows her sister hasn’t purposely done things to her and is definitely more empathetic towards others who are neurodiverse.
Her next sibling (a girl) has mostly observed and is generally not a target with her little sister status I guess. My son (the youngest), like your sons—have an incredible amount of empathy for being male. He is only 13, but he seems to have noticed something vulnerable about her from a young age as he has always been attentive to wanting to see her happy and doing things for her in such a loving way (even when she can’t see it as such).
I always worried my neurotypical children would feel like they don’t have my attention because the eldest requires so much. They have told me they know I’m here for them and they understand that she just needs more support.
Thanks for being so authentic. I feel a sense of support I rarely feel listening and watching your families. God bless y’all!

Everyone talking about how Connor and Tanner can be jerks reminded of when Connor randomly shouted "Jack's a PRICK!" while on one of him and Lise's drives. That lives in my head now 😂 He might say it more often than I know but I love that he's encouraged to talk just as honestly and explicitly as his entire family sometimes does.

And Maverick's honesty is everything. Feeling like a glass child is no small thing, even if it's just in some ways and not others. I hope there is room made for him and his parents to discuss that privately and find ways to fill in any gaps.

Has anybody seen them talking about tanners brothers diagnosis? Or is he NT? Because he seems very high functioning autistic to me. At least from my perspective watching this I was surprised to see so many signs arise during the podcast. Not to attempt to diagnose anybody but I’m curious to know if it’s been talked about

These episodes have been so encouraging! I can see how my second oldest has taken the role of big sister and the little siblings started to noticed more my son’s neurodiversity.

Would like to know more in depth how you told your sons that were in the spectrum and how did they take it? Also, now that they are very popular on social media do they actually are in charge of what they post and repost? Not sure if it’s too I overwhelming to keep up with the mention tags on their accounts.

Maverick was so vulnerable in the beginning I really respect the moms for being brave enough to ask the hard questions and I’m sure that opens them up for mom guilt in some ways which is tough but sometimes I wish they hugged them and said I’m sorry that wasnt my intention and validate their experience sometimes more

My siblings and I are technically “neurotypical”, I think it’s up for debate, but we were always taught to not make fun of the “weird” kids, or anybody, at school. Looking back I think a lot more kids had autism than anyone knew. Y’all are amazing mothers and have amazing families. My favorite parts of the show are watching the families interact with each other so this episode was wonderful. It’s so raw and real and fun to watch.

Not super relevant, but Lise reminds me so much of my own mom. She struggled at first to have me and my siblings as well and she loves us more than anything and she will do anything for us (including taking a loan from her retirement to help my wife and I fund IVF).

Conner is sooo much like my brother who is on the spectrum. I love hearing Lise's boys and how they treat Conner. My family is the same way with my brother, giving him crap and teasing him (now that he understands sarcasm hahaha). I love your family. Conner is hilarious. And no! I refuse to believe that Tanner has a bad side! Tanner is perfect and pure joy!!!!
