WoTC: Maha is not a game changer.
Me, running Maha as a commander with a ton of -1/-1 everything cards: I disagree.
Everyone say it with me…The new bracket system is ass.
ОтветитьThe game changers are just a way to artificially inflate the market and push cards.
ОтветитьI am just gonna keep playing what i want at tables that i want to as i always have, everyone else is welcome to do the same
ОтветитьOh look, wizards being laughably stupid, again. I will not be abiding by any of their BS going forward.
ОтветитьThis is a good guideline. I dint see why so many people are complaining that their one situation they could think up that doesn't apply to the vast majority of players, didn't make it in the list
ОтветитьRustic study is fine, just pay the 1
ОтветитьWizards won't ban cards for commander, they need the money.
ОтветитьDifficult. I understand that a system for determining the "power level" of a deck shouldn't be too complex. But seeing that one of my strongest decks, which can hit fairly consistently for 40 damage in rounds 4-6 (Elves - Voja +1/+1 counter deck) is "estimated" in bracket 1-2 by archideck feels strange. The deck comes only with 3 tutor effects and not a single card is a "game changer".
ОтветитьHow is necropotence not on this list???
ОтветитьI love how they present something that they're clear doesn't have to affect everyone's game, these are not hard limits/definitive determinations of power level, and they say is just a beta draft and will be happy to take feedback, is eliciting so much bitching and moaning all over social media. Truly shows how wonderful the online community is! 😁
ОтветитьSee.... this is the issue. Why is mindcrank not on the list? Or mesmeric orb? Or a clock like havoc festival? Or any of the big eldrazi?
ОтветитьThe only thing un fun in commander is players in my group getting salty about stuff that's literally part of the game. If you don't like having spells countered or having something blown up or someone getting ahead in cards or mana early, go and play another game. God I can't stand sitting at a table to play a game and having people crying about playing the game it's honestly the worst.. if someone pops off turn 2 great shuffle up and go again. Having people moan about it the whole time ruins the experience completely for me. If more people just took it on the chin and cracked on it'd be way more enjoyable..
ОтветитьSoooo many Cards Missing as Gamechangers.
ОтветитьHope they unban crypt and jeweled lotus for a bracket 6
ОтветитьI think they genuinely should've only released Gavin's video where he lays out the spirit and intent of each bracket, and not infographics of the brackets with the handful of hard and fast rules.
People seem to be first and foremost only looking at the handful of hard restrictions outlined in one image, and immediately going to angle shooting how to fit their most powerful decks into lower brackets by only adhering to those bullet points.
If they would've opened with "Bracket 2 is we're playing pre-cons and decks that mix in with pre-cons" rather than a couple bullets of what immediately disqualifies something from that bracket, the discussion would be in a better place.
Why are people crying about this? We havent even seen it in action yet. Magic fans can b%tch so hard
ОтветитьI’m optimistic about the brackets. Personally my playgroup likes to play with more powerful cards, and this way we can do so, and the people who don’t want to, don’t have to. The only thing I would say is, there should almost be a 2.5 bracket, for people who don’t want to play with any game changers, but also want to play tuned decks.
ОтветитьIt's crazy that you don't need to make a video for this, just s tweet, I literally skip over the video and see which cards. Useless ahh video tbh. Also, commentary kind bad ngl
ОтветитьI mean. Every card is a "game changer" no?
I dont feel "game changer" is a good title.
"Salt inducers" sounds more accurate.
I think they need to blanket certain card types like 2 or cheaper tutors, this would clear some space on the list
Ответитьt1 solring =gamechanger
Ответитьi think wotc will abuse the power to sell more cards and otherwise the brackets will only somewhat work
ОтветитьWizards said this game changers list is an initial beta, hopefully they enhance it, its missing quite a few cards.
More importantly hopefully people get to use it to better their group play.
Bracket 2, the Precon one, should get 1 Game changer:
1.- Brackets 1 and 2 are basicaly identical as they stand right now
2.- Jeska's Will, Firce Guardsmanship, and Trouble in Pairs have been in Precons already
3.- This will let them reprint this cards in future precons instead of as chase rares in Commander Legens X
Main Criticisms:
1.) not having Teferi’s Protection, Necropotence, or more legendaries put on the game changers list.
Where is najeela, voja, toxrill?
2.) I only run Ancient Tomb in two decks as far as game changers. That would make all my decks basically a 2 or 1 otherwise.
My issue is not my decks, but others that try to cheat the system in order to win.
Imo that mentality alone is a 4-5, and for ex zada, tatyova, chulane, kalia, etc will wreck casuals with zero game changers.
3.) green ramp is apparently not considered tutoring nor is fetching per gavin. To me that leads to green being the best casual color period.
I think if ramp is not a tutor, then just get rid of tutors in bracket 1 altogether and let them be for bracket 2.
All the cards in magic can be game changers if playing the right strategy
ОтветитьI can't believe the cheapest copy of rhystic study is over $42.00 🤯
ОтветитьMana Drain should 100% be a game changer
ОтветитьI just build everything at 4 i like this bracket system now if ppl ask what deck i say 4 they cant get butt hurt if they sit down.
Ответитьdoes a combo including the commander and two other cards count as 3 or 2 cards combo?
ОтветитьDemonic tutor was an uncommon in alpha. Welcome to MTG
ОтветитьThere is no talk of partners on these brackets as well.
ОтветитьCant wait to play my ultra optimized Ur-Dragon deck in a bracket 1 pod, what a good system
ОтветитьMe when my feather deck is in the expedition bracket
ОтветитьWotc: make the cards…
We’ll make the rules.
IMO, most “game changers” are those cards that we all know alter any game significantly like..plopping a $20 chase rare or a $10 rare. They are worth more for a reason…they impact the game. Their start at a list is a start, but it’s very CEDH driven. Also, when are they going to ban that Oracle? She’s stupid. When commander magic became a race to the first one who can cast Thassa’s Oracle…you lost a whole bunch of ppl from ever even trying. Not even powerhouse commanders like Voja stand a chance.
ОтветитьGreat video! Gifts Ungiven is 2 Demonic Tutors and 2 Entombs stapled into a Blue 4 Mana instant. If unbanned, it would be the best tutor in the game immediately. 😊
ОтветитьLions eye diamond is dogs dinner. It always has been.
ОтветитьOne counter and these "game changers" are nothing. I feel like this list should be things with "this can't be countered" or don't require a combo to make scary. This rule set is supposed to help new players and I'm just more confused, only been playing for a month.
ОтветитьI'm sticking to the older system.
ОтветитьEveryone saying "well I guess my teferi's protection, necropotence deck is tier 1" no. Obviously not. These are guidelines. Yes the info graphic seems to show them as rules, but these are just an example of what the levels could be. If you are knowingly running a tier 3 power turbo infect deck against tier 1 decks, then that's not the fault of the brackets. It's the fault of you, the player, deciding to pubstomp because you want to "outsmart" the brackets. In reality no one is going to do this unless they were already an ass who liked to pubstomp.
Like, if your deck is a tier 2, but clearly would destroy any tier 2 deck in a trivial and unfun game, THEN DONT PLAY AGAIST TIER 2 DECKS. It's really that simple. Yes, maybe this will confuse new players who build a hyper niche, but powerful deck that's not covered by the bracket system effectively. But in that scenario it's up to the community and their self to realize, "hey, maybe this is too powerful for bracket 1. I'll play a different deck/my oppents will play different decks next time so that doesn't happen again".
I think green has surprisingly few cards considering they're the strongest color in casual commander. I would restrict Craterhoof, Teferi's Protection, and maybe Necropotence.
ОтветитьYea...well, how is Yuriko OP when you support it with garbagey cards in the deck like Ornithopter? Does that mean Ornithopter is a Game-Changer as well? Totally outraged clearly...Lolol
ОтветитьSweet I can still just slam Craterhoof and win, happens all the time!!!
ОтветитьSo all my decks are in the 4-5 bracket? Thats crazy
ОтветитьI dislike how, for lack of a better term, how non-casual a lot of these cards are. What I mean by that is that there a lot of cards listed as "game-changers" that either completely depend on the power level of the rest of your deck (tutors), or the power level of your playgroup (cards that tend to be less powerful against less optimized decks). Examples of the second kind are cards like Trinisphere and Force of Will.
My issue with these cards being listed as game-changers is that, in order for them to actually put in that amount of work, you're probably looking at playing somewhere between bracket 3 and 4, making their inclusion kinda pointless.
Brackets are a joke. Nobody should support this trash.
Ответитьimagine tutoring to the top and it gets milled
ОтветитьAtraxa and planeswalkers are interesting to be missing
