I have same setup as you and even same ram and I really want to try todo this but I dont really understand what EXPO vs EXPO tweaked is ? How do I tweak the timings so its the EXPO tweaked config which gives the most boost?

I think I almost killed my PC trying this... It kept giving a blue screen error. Then it said something like ''New CPU installed, press Y to reset fTPM'' and it started freezing there. I couldn't even open bios to reset settings. Fortunately, I removed my RAM sticks, inserted only one and was able to enter the bios. Any idea why?

for some reason as soon as I press "Read SPD on SMBus" inside of thaiphoon burner the loading randomly gets stuck and the program stops responding. Anyone know how to fix this?

466th comment and so far no link seen to Thaiphoon Burner. Web search shows it seems to be loaded through Softnology site. The app seems to have been around for at least 5 years. Some people have expressed issues with what it's collecting, though I can't find a definitive answer to if it's a real issue or not. Would be good to see a proper link to the app if one exists.
HWinfo will also show you what SDRAM Manufacture is along with the timings for the module. Which could be useful if you want to a quick check to see if your pc is running the timings you think it should be.

I got the ryzen 5 5500 and for the ram i just use the xmp to 3600mhz, dont know if i can get more performance?

To me changing the ram from expo to xmp made my temps go from 90 C to 67C peaking at 74C in 90% of my games with no performance impact. 5200 DDR5 with the 7700x

Unfortunately I couldn't get this working on my 4X16gb 6000MHz. Not even regular EXPO works.. I really don't know why and I'm going nuts with it. I also tried lower frequencies, but anything different from 3600 crashes. Btw, I have a 7800x3d and Gskill 6000 CL 30
I'd love any insights on this

i bought a 7800x3d with a gigabyte aorus elite ax "ice" board. the two latest bioses do not work, i get infinite bootloop, only F2 works, why is that?? how can it be that two newer bioses have issues? can somebody help me?

This right here is the reason I stayed with the 7700X instead of going with the 7800X3D the 3D V-Cache is basically just compensating for the slower system DRAM but when you tweak the timings you cut back that difference by a lot yet you still maintain the advantage in productivity.
The X3D on the other hand gains hardly anything from faster RAM.

You seem to be knowledgeable. Can you help me solve this problem? I did everything exactly the same but it won’t apply all the settings only some. For example Tras, Trc, Twr and some others are impossible to change. I can type in the wanted value but it won’t apply them. Ai Overclock Tuner can be put on Auto, Manual, EXPO 1, EXPO2 and EXPO tweaked but I tried every option and none of them let me change those values. Any ideas how to fix this?

Where else should I look for DDR5 Ram overclocks? Buildzoid doesn't have a ram overclock video for my manufacturer (micron) or ram kit, and I can't seem to find any other guide.

This is great. I set my flck to 2033 rather than 2000 and my 1 percent lows in mw3 went up 8 percent. I used his timing though and it didnt make a difference to my framerate but it does feel like theres less lag but i suspect that is placebo

Why my RAM frequency won't change. It will go back to 4800 Stock instead of EXPO 5600. The difference is I have zero errors at TestMem5 compared to 28 erros from stock EXPO.

Why did you ignore the main timings and only focused on the sub timings? Also should I leave the main timings on auto?

I'm going to build a 8700G PC and don't know what to do with the RAM. It says in offically supports 5200mhz, but for what I've understood, 6400 tweaked would be insanely better? I do not know anything about overclock. Should I go for 5200 and don't worry about it? Or try to do at least 6000 tweaked? Should change my PSU if I'm planning on adding a GPU?
