ОтветитьWhy are they making all these corvette's so unaffordable? This thing is in the same price bracket as the Z06. Take the Carbon ceramic rotors off this thing and drop the price. It's ridiculous for something marketed as a road car. Keep in mind the dealer markups on top of this.

ОтветитьAs an Indian fan and owner of the Corvette marque I was delighted to see a fellow Indian featured on this channel. This is something other manufacturers would not consider no matter how much contribution by Indians. Anyway back to the car itself there is a sort of racism involved in journalists reporting on the Corvette as it’s not European.

ОтветитьJust FYI…There’s an E-Ray with Twin Turbos on You Tube that is in the 9’s/154mph at the quarter mile. Stock cam,heads,transmission,suspension,wheels etc. Just an epic platform to begin with crazy potential on top of it.

ОтветитьWould have been cool if they had a z06 plus e as an option before the full on twin turbo treatment on the zr1…. Filling in for the lower torque and still having the glorious engine sound of the naturally aspirated flat plane crank masterpiece of an engine.

ОтветитьI find it very odd that they change the entire formula for the Vette so they can move the motor. Only to then turn it electric. But we all nod and agree because they've already normalized the style. BRING BACK THE OLD VETTE BODYSTYLE

As a older 2015 ZO6 owner the E-ray fits better for me. Having been on the list for the new ZO6 for 3 years and not willing to pay $50K over MSRP, I will opt for the E-ray. Hopefully we don't have to go through the same games as waiting for the ZO-6. General Motors and the dealers need to think of the customers first, rather than trying to rape their customers.

ОтветитьThis is probably the best street Corvette ever...it perfectly balances the street character the C8 has while giving you the speed performance of the ZO6 with likely lower maintenance costs. The performance is just insane...0-60 in 2.2 seconds, 10's at almost 130 mph in the 1/4 mile, what appears to be instant torque and response, and I love how they say the electric motor smooths out the dual clutch trans and makes it all instant. Love the scenery guys, looks like the Huntley/Woodstock/Gilberts area. I'm in Algonquin and I have gotten out to these back roads and it's great scenery...and fun!

ОтветитьVery well done, Corvette. A Ferrari 296 may be a tad more refined and have a quarter more power (even though no AWD - why for a hybrid?). Yet, at 1/3 of the price, looking at EU MSRP, the E-Ray is a very compelling package.

ОтветитьThey REALLY need to get the steering and brake feel straightened out in the C8. I have both in juice form in my C6 and I've zero complaint about either. Especially switching from those 'accident waiting to happen' GY EMT F1s to Pilot Sport non EMT tires.
