I was a teenager when I got this album. Full of life/energy/enthusiasm and a can do spirit. Now I'm a lot like the person in this song. Older, wiser to the ways of the world, in poor health, my feet do itch, using a belt stops the pants falling down. Always talked to myself. I haven't amounted to much like many people. That's where the real disappointment is. Oh but I never married a scarecrow so not so bad.

One of the first albums I bought with my own money as a kid. Still listening through the album maybe once a month. Masterpiece.

Still remember the first time hearing a track from this album, it was “A small victory”, I was driving to meet friends at a bar and I remember sitting there in the car a bit mesmerized. The end part “if I speak in one constant volume…”really grabbed me. Hadn’t heard something like that before. Beginning of a wonderful musical discovery
