ОтветитьI20 has the better engine & transmission, but I think altroz racer has better handling. This comment might upset some people here, but after driving both i can confirm that altroz racer is much more fun in the corners and its steering has a good feedback. Rest everything is substandard, specially the transmission. Although safety is top notch.
ОтветитьThis has to be some promotional video or branded content. Hyundai never gets the ride and handling as the vw group. Its more to do with the platform and suspension tuning, Hyundai lacks stability which is really important when it comes to carrying speed and confidence where as the polo or any other car from vw backs the driver with immense confidence to push it more to its limits.

ОтветитьIs it a good hatch yeah but it is definitely not the best it doesn't even come close to polo or the mighty abarth , it might be the best currently because there aren't any other hatches in india .

ОтветитьI mean the dct makes sense if you want to lower the barrier for wanting to drive the car. Manual gives you social media bragging rights but with indian traffic you'll never want to drive the thing outside of a morning sunday drive when roads are clear or work which is mandatory.

ОтветитьWhen it comes to petrol performance hatchs ..neither we had much or if we had it was not unfinished ...
The initial polo and Fabia 1.6 Mpi was a great allrounder ...the engine provided a great oomph compared to 3 cyl craps ... But it was far from being sporty.... At least in the stick form ...
Gt tsi ... Was great but in its stock form it is tuned more for efficiency rather than outright performance... A manual gearbox setup could have been a great option but we never got it ...don't get me started on the the dq 200 (I think so )... I hated it ...
Fiesta 1.6 s sedan was a gem ... Period ... It had the rawness and great torque lower down but was discontinued even b4 many knew it existed ...
1.5 Honda ivtec was the only na engine that was enthusiasts in its nature and live stontev past 6k ..but we never got only in Honda Jazz only in CVT format ...
1.6 moi from Suzuki was great too ... May be as not as much as Honda but it has its own character and was never really appreciated... Maruti never gave us a 1.6 swift Sport ..with that light weight and nimble chassis that could have been amazing ..
Hyundai or Koreans in general wasn't great when it comes to NA performance petrol engine ...
With forced induction ..they started becoming cool ... Not to mention genesis ...
But 3 cylinder ...no matter how you try to put it ... Even with forced induction it can produce great figures and can be tuned and will be faster ...but it's not about numbers ...
It's has to do with character too ...3 cylinder is so boring and the exhaust note and everything about it is just absurd and pushing it is only gona make it break soon and reliability will be out of the equation...
So people praising 3 cylinder forced inductions should understand that the ones we get in India ain't a gr corolla....
I think is Indian enthusiasts are cursed that we never receive any thing that's phenomenal ...
I wish we deserved a 1.6 petrol swift, 1.6 polo/Fabia,1.6 fiesta s should not have been discontinued . I haven't driven palio 1.6 ..so I have little to no knowledge...
1.4 in Abarth Punto was great in midrange and even when my cule got the lines 1.4 tjet back in 2010 ... many didn't know but the heavy weight of that vehicle was so high ...but a proper NA petrol engine ...idk ...
Lancer engine was shit ...period it's not evolution lol

I own both the N8 DCT from the first batch. And the Polo TSI Manual 2020. I like both of them. The Polo is more tractable and the Nline feels more modern.
