Kwikset SmartCode 913 Door Handing Detection Process

In this video, I've demonstrated how to perform the door handing detection process on the Kwikset SmartCode 913 Electronic Keypad Deadbolt.

The door handing process teaches the lock the orientation of the door (locking and unlocking direction). You must do this for a new lock (first-time installation) and when you reset the lock (factory reset).

If the door handing detection process is not working, check that the batteries are correctly installed. Also, check that the cable connector is correctly and firmly inserted. Repeat the process again—as demonstrated in this video.
