Liverpool gets a fair number of goals from their MFs. It's time for Rice, Odegaard, and Partey to share the goalscoring burden.

"The definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results." Albert Einstein. I do not want to see Sterling even enter the field unless we are up and giving him minutes helps him with the team already seeing through a win. It has not been working the entire season. Merino should play. If not that, then I would rather see Tierney or even Zinchenko on the left. We have options other than Sterling, not ideal, but especially a Tierney could do a job as a natural crossing winger. I do not understand the comments from Arteta when he said "everyone knows who was going to start in our front 3." After this last game, it shouldn't be Sterling and it is time for the manager to go galaxy brain because part of how we get through this period is a game by game tactics or personnel change given our options.

Elliot and I are of the same mind today on Sterling. We have zero room for error and this is not the time to be hand holding, risking points and hoping a player finds form when for over a year now he has shown very little of it. Sterling had about an hour against a Championship side defense where he actively was working against us. It was like 10 vs 12 when we were on the attack. I would rather try the team camera man. Use Sterling as a bench option but he should never see another start unless he shows us otherwise.

Arsenal fans come on get behind our players … show em full 100 💯. Applaud and encourage our players. Remember until May, he is one of us!
Show Raheem the same amount of love as we showed Martinelli and Jesus and Odegaard who have also played ‘not the best’!…. Come on Gooners 🎉…. We are Arsenal!💪

Tim should listen to the Van Dijk interview before spreading a false rumor. VAR check. Wish it were true, but he never started to say Arsenal.

Stirling has the brain telling him one thing but the legs muscles are not connecting too well and not so fast. I would still give him more minutes because he may just score a wonder goal when we really need it, also in fairness to him fractional margins prevented him from scoring a free kick v Palace in the League Cup and a couple of assists that players he passed to should have scored but f*****d up!

Wow… great pod as usually but why does Tim LOVE to hide behind badly positioned enormous microphones?? It is so distracting to what he has to say… which is always excellent. Carry on. 😊

Sterling should never play for us again unless we are struggling to put 11 players on the pitch, just give some of the youth players a chance.

If Liverpool take six points from their next two, well done to them and I think they'll manage their run in well enough to win it. If they don't, we will overtake them by mid March.

You can start Sterling the very next game if needed. He may find a mentality shift because much of his ineffectiveness is confidence not physical although probably not fully fit as well as aging. Jesus looked done then had 2 good games lol. Sterling may actually feel starting more stressful than bench? Training has to also be main factor so up to Arteta.

Sterling can surely still arrive at back post as he did at City? Haven't seen that with us at all.

There’s definitely a chance for us to catch Liverpool this season. But the title is never just handed over to you. You have to earn it. My main reason for doubting us is the fact that Arteta hasn’t shown that he can win the crucial games under pressure to win titles our tournaments. 22/23 we buckled under pressure immensely. Last season we lost to Villa - a game we should have won. UCL last season we lost to a crap Bayern team. Even 21/22 we buckled and fumbled 4th place because of the pressure. Arteta will have to do something he’s never done before to win the league which is win the pressure games. Nothing this season has shown me that he’s turned the corner in that regard.

This season has felt to me like some kind of weird social experiment of "how bad can things get before you give up?". What if this player gets injured? What if we give you a nonsense red card? What if we do that again? What if another player gets injured? And another? And so on.

For me the breaking point was losing Havertz. It feels like we're trying to play football with 1 leg tied behind our back, but we still need to be perfect to win the league. So I've kind of accepted its not going to happen this season, and it will be a great achievement to finish 2nd having faced all that adversity (even if the media will still critisise us for not winning the trophy). Strengthen the squad in the summer and go again.

And for Liverpool, because I already think they've won it, I just keep thinking now "wouldn't it be hilarious if they throw it away?". 6 points clear with a game in hand, and your closest rival has their 4 first choice strikers injured simultaneously ... how can you NOT win that race?

It's utterly pointless having Sterling on the bench, if you don't have any faith in him why should he bring something to the party from the bench. At least with Merino you have at least some chance of changing something from the bench if things aren't going to plan.

I wouldn't knock the Bundesliga for only having 18 teams, Ive always believed 18 is the absolute maximum that should be in the PL, ideally 16. Would never happen, far too much self interest in the voting

This over-analysis with merino from the media and this obsession with having a tall physical body up to will mean more teams can plan because they know that’s the only way we play. Newcastle was the perfect example of us being nullified over two legs because we couldn’t play a different way.

We are limited with options so we need to play someone like sterling who perhaps has something to offer and there is something to say about finding form through minutes and consistency. Remember the front 3 have never played together before and they need time to see if it won’t work. I guarantee that we have been working more this week with this front 3.
