Lumon feels like a Schrödinger cat. The numbers are either important or complete BS.
ОтветитьOmg watch Dark it's not that many episodes and truly unforgettable. And lola finish it lol
Ответить"Nuke this place." -Lola lmao
ОтветитьOne of the best TV intros!!!
ОтветитьAnother great new show that mess with your brain is The Devil's Hour, it's British show starring Peter Capaldi and there's two (short) seasons so far (I think it should be three seasons total). I'd love to see somebody react, and would recommend it to anyone who enjoyed Dark or Severance...
ОтветитьAt least episode 9 is one of those episodes where people can't fake their reaction because the need of staying focused
Ответитьdark is my favourite show OAT with mr robot and aot, so I would literally do anything to see you guys react to it, even if lola had seen most of the show I think that in a way could be a really fun dynamic to see how you both react
also, 3x7 and 3x8 (the last 2 episodes) are both in my top 3 of the whole show along with 2x6 so you literally just missed the peak of the show 😭I pray you guys react to it one day
We do not react to reality, but to the meaning we give it, which is why each person is affected differently. We are the sum of our memories and experiences. That makes us unique but also a bit isolated. This series is fascinating, I look forward to the second season.
ОтветитьThey dont give a fuck what theyre doing. Theyre working at a job where they mess with your brain before you can start. So theyre likely very well compensated to make up for that.
As long as they feel like theyre earning well, who cares? You dont actually work. You wake up after a work day and your body is tired and thats about it. Why would you worry about how much youre doing in there, its nothing to you. And why risk this sweet gig?
The "innies" only have a memory of 2 or 3 years, so they are like toddlers in some ways. That's why they love the finger trap prizes, waffle parties, etc.
ОтветитьOne is trying to pay attention, listen to show, the other just blabs over it. 😢
ОтветитьYou guys should watch FROM, of you want something spooky it is genuinely an extremely spooky and mysterious show. Extremely well done
Ответитьplease try to enjoy every episode equally

'what if they lobotomize them again?' That would be a crazy twist in later seasons, if there were different layers of severence.
Day 102 of asking LM reacts to see gurren lagann
ОтветитьThis is my least favorite Sopranos episode.
Ответитьlol, I get that this show is interesting and makes you think, but I have no idea what you two are talking about for half of this video, try to relax a little bit 😅
ОтветитьI think about the scary numbers scene so often, it makes me laugh about the stupidity of my own job. I guess I should be horrified too.
ОтветитьYou guys should read the lexington letter
Ответитьlike the way you analyze. you should watch more movies. and you should watch andor tv series. one of the best tv series ever from most unexpected quarter of star wars. including classic literature class writing. lola will like it, based on what she says here.
Ответитьi feel like you miss 50% of the episode by talking over it. it's a shame cause in shows like this, details are important.
ОтветитьThe Severance intro is incredible!
Have ya'll watched Westworld? That one would have you really thinking too lol
You need to focus on the show and stop talking so much!!! At the end then you can talk shit!!!
ОтветитьDo solo reactions of DARK then watch the final season together!!
ОтветитьThis entire series slaps
ОтветитьPlease react to Dune the movies
ОтветитьAt this point my guess is that what they are refining is their own brains, and that they themselves are the Lumon corporation's product. The people overseeing them are also severed workers who are further along in the neural reprogramming, and that the idea is to transform the "Outie" personality to be a willing slave and spy for Lumon.
One thing I think I'm noticing is that Mark Scout seems to have a drinking problem. Also his friends and neighbours are annoying idiots, like the suggestible future father who had the idea for a dinner-party without any dinner, and their achingly boring and trivial conversation they were taking much more seriously than it deserved.
The other thing is a very strong subtext of the corporate office workplace as a cult, and bullshit jobs as cult brainwashing. Employers are increasingly trying to recruit people into worship-style activities, to try to extract more of their attention and creativity by pretending that what they doing is a "mission", where they are "doing good", "giving their best" to become "better people" in the workplace, with sugary affirmations quoted on the walls, quotes as if scripture but not actual scripture, which amount to lies in the same way as the "pieces of flair" from the movie Office Space.
You guys should zoom out the camera frame so it can capture the setup and entire reaction. Would make it 10 times better
ОтветитьThey have not seen Pulp Fiction!!!
ОтветитьLola seems to want the whole story explained immediately in the first two episodes. Lol. That would make for a very short, uninteresting series.
ОтветитьSeverance its a little of Black Mirror, Dark, Mr.Robot, OA, Truman Show ... 🙃 🧠
ОтветитьYour outie values water.
ОтветитьLove that you guys are starting this. Seriously one of the best shows ever
Ответить👍🏾
ОтветитьOh my, Y'all gotta do Dark. A rewatch is almost as good as the 1st watch, you realize so much little details. The show is awesome and I love it's soundtrack.
Ответить"they should nuke this place" real
ОтветитьI just finished season 1, its quite an interesting show. I'd say it's a mix of The Leftovers, Mr. Robot and Westworld all in 1 with its own twist of course.
ОтветитьI'm loving both of your questions, theories, and analysis. Keep it going!
ОтветитьYou should see the music video: Weapon of Choice by Fatboy Slim
ОтветитьOne of the worst aspects of human greed is the "need" of enslaving others to alleviate your daily burdens. The concept of humans developing methods of enslaving themselves is amazing, I got hooked from the first episode
ОтветитьYou guys are my soulmates 😊 The shows you've mentioned like The OA, Fringe and Dark are literally some of my favorite shows ❤
ОтветитьI just caught something… the way milichek refers to death not happening at Lumon…
ОтветитьWe totally need you two to watch Dark! The show is so complex I’m sure there’s a lot that Lola forgets or would pick up on during a 2nd watch!
ОтветитьCapitalism? Jesus, you are brainwashed, comrades. Don't you think it's more like North Korea?
ОтветитьI don't think it's about the job. It's all about the Severance procedure. They're actually test subjects involved in a long-term trial of the Severance procedure. The Severance procedure if/when perfected will rake in billions of dollars in profits. Think of the applications: You can work in the government intelligence field like the CIA, seeing highly classified intel without risk of you ever divulging such information when you leave the job. The procedure also provides a legal loophole to practice what amounts to slavery. Employees can be abused, overworked, etc and they would have no recollection of it offsite, so there is no way to whistle blow; plus the employees are technically going to work of their own free will every day in spite of whatever unremembered abuses they suffer on the job. It makes for an insidious form of slavery where the employee himself becomes unwittingly complicit as a slave master in his own enslavement.
ОтветитьA bit of advice: Maybe try to avoid talking too much during the episode. Of course it's a reaction so I get that you have to comment, but don't go overboard - especially in talking about stuff that is not directly related to the current scene playing out. As much as possible, limit comments to what's happening in the moment. At the end of the episode, you can then review and comment about your thoughts on the show itself and the storyline and your theories about the characters, etc.
The reason it's not a good idea to talk too much during the show is that what can sometimes happen is that you might talk over some very important dialog and miss something interesting that would make for a good reaction. This can be frustrating for a viewer expecting to see your reaction to something they know is coming only to realize that you've completely missed it because you were distracted by what you were saying.
