Keith who wrote that song was born in Dartford in 1943. Over seventy flying bombs fell in the Dartford area between 16 June and 30 August 1944. Carrington Road was hit at 5.10 pm on Saturday 6 August. Ten people died in the huge explosion, twelve were seriously injured, twenty homes were wrecked and a further 700 houses damaged.

I've got to build myself a really cool Triumph and name it Jumpin' Jack Flash. And ride it appropriately.

i first got into music in the early 90's (im from 85), and then went back in time to see whats what. I listen to this song and i can see how so many newer songs and bands came to be. Its like a rock history class

In 1996, I had the privilege of listening to this,on my Walkman whilst sat next to the Door gunner in a Chinook, flying through the valleys in central Bosnia..in full battle order with my section. Doors open,and a Royal Navy Commndo Sea King flying just off to the side of us. .happy memories 🙂🙂🇬🇧👍
