Blackpool Heritage Trams On the Move

Blackpool's trams are as famous as Blackpool Tower and provide a modern method of public transport running eleven miles along the cost from Starr Gate to Fleetwood. Today that service is provided with modern easy access low floor light rail vehicles, but a number of trams from the era before that are still owned and operated, along with borrowed examples of first generation tramcars from other systems, that provided a heritage operation on key dates throughout the year. They are also available for private hire events.

This is part two of two presentations featuring just some of Blackpool's heritage trams from the era before the Bombardier Flexity 2 light rail vehicles.
In many cases, the videos feature the trams in pristine condition before they were allowed to become filthy and operate in that condition.
Not all of the heritage trams are featured and a follow up presentation will include a lot of those that are missing including OMO car 8, the Coronations and 272-T2 - the all cream Progress Twincar.
