That’s a terrible design in a hurricane prone area.

Nice digs, but I would preferred less blab and more attention to the details of the place, particularly how it was built to make it as hurricane proof as possible. Would have like to see some more attention given to the kitchen, bath, and bedroom. Also surprised there was no drone shot of the property from a bird's eye view perspective. Nonetheless looks like a great home.

The house is epic, but when the next big hurricane comes, it's probably going to have water 3 feet up the walls being so close to the ocean.

Insanely beautiful. Not ostentatious, not oversized, not gaudy. I absolutely love it, plus it's just such a perfect size for a couple or small family. It's not the largest lot but you've made it feel so roomy and so well lit.

Reminds me of the Stahl house in CA.

When architecture and the environment come together, it's a beautiful thing...well said! Beautiful home. But I must admit, I would be nervous these days building so close to the ocean given these frequent hurricanes in Florida and the high cost of insurance.

Lovely home and I am a huge fan of mid century modern furniture. My only concern would be fading on the inside furniture and finishes from all the natural light coming in because there doesn’t appear to be any window coverings.

Blower door testing and air sealing are under appreciated tools for comfort and energy efficiency.
All new buildings should be designed with large roof overhangs. The large overhang provides beauty and protection from the sun, rain and wind.
Protection of the doors, windows and siding make for a more durable and comfortable home. Water is the enemy of buildings.
All homes should be built to accommodate the elderly and disabled. This will be better for everyone.
Large wide doorways and hallways make using a cane, walker or wheel chair much easier.
Bathrooms or wet rooms need to have flat floors and no shower hump or pan. A flat floor allows for easy access and drains need to provided.
Easy to use lever door and faucet handles are easier for the elderly to grip and open.
Main floors should include a master bedroom, restroom, shower, laundry and wide walk in closet with few steps to enter.
Homes should be designed with aging in place in mind.
New homes should come with solar panels, a rain water collection system and an electric vehicle charger in the garage.

Climate change and rising sea levels will make properties in low lying areas and coastal areas impossible to insure. Banks will be reluctant to give a mortgage for 15 or 30 years because the property may be under water. Selling properties to average buyers will become impossible in the future as banks and mortgage companies stop making loans for these properties. Coastal areas are a high risk for insurance and extreme weather like hurricanes. People will have to self insure and take the risk of loss. Condo associations are losing their insurance and if they find a new higher cost policy they will be passing on the higher costs to association members. Flooded cars from hurricanes fill the salvage lots. Insurance companies will raise rates and pass on the costs and risks to policy holders next year. Coastal properties will be confined to wealthy individuals that can buy properties with cash and self insure for losses from hurricanes or rising sea levels.
