I am able to vaguely remember seeing these strips on the Merc O405s of ye olden days, on the SBS and SMRT CAC models with fixed sliding windows. Never used them as I did not know what they were at first, then when I found out, I thought they would no longer work.

The buses from Australia uses a string to be pulled down to show bus stopping if I am correct because that is what my mom told me
