good info can't wait to get my system installed, We are waiting for permit approval. Will revisit when everything is completed. Thanks
ОтветитьWish you'd have given more info about adding third party access. Do they need to get the app?
ОтветитьI've got a 8.1kw system with 1PW3 getting ready to get installed soon, super excited. thanks for the thorough walk through! This summer has been tough for high energy bills, this should offset us pretty well, and i always have room to add more solar.
ОтветитьGreat info about the app! I got a 15KW system installed and 2 PW3, when I look at the charge state of the batteries it only shows 60% and won’t charge beyond that even though I’m producing more than enough to keep charging the batteries. Do you know why it would stop at 60%? Also when I try to go off grid with the app, it tells me the state of charge is too high on the power walls and to use them to drop below 90%. Couldn’t find anything on websites about this.
Ответитьwe just signed a contract to get two PW2s installed to my solar system with Enphase Micro-Inverters. Can't wait. I'll still use my Enphase app to monitor my PV down to the panel/inverter level.
ОтветитьThis is by far the most informative and comprehensive guide to the Tesla solar app I've found. Thank you so much Zach! I would love to know how a vehicle will be integrated into the app once bidirectional charging is more available.
ОтветитьOur app just stopped working. Cannot get it to open up. Any suggestions?
ОтветитьWaiting for my system to be installed can’t wait
ОтветитьHow low can you run the pw3 down to and not hurt the battery?
ОтветитьHow accurate is this app - I’m getting much different data from the App compared to what my electric company is telling/charging me!
ОтветитьThis was really well done
ОтветитьI know this video is about the Tesla app, but I find "Powerwall Companion" better to view current and historical power generation and consumption data, and it lets you check actually battery capacity etc....I'm talking about the PC version and not phone app which is lacking most of the analysis features.
ОтветитьHi! How do I get the car icon to pop up at the bottom in the Energy section? (I have a tesla and I can toggle between my car/house in products)
ОтветитьI don't have solar and got the Wall as I live in an area w/ frequent power disruptions. The
wall also conserves energy by cycling on during the expensive time of the day. How should I set Backup Reserve?
Thanks.
Any insight on how all this will look for a Tesla powerwall installation with existing solar at the house? Tesla said that generation of the solar won’t be visible in the app because it’s 3rd party.
ОтветитьThank you for your video!
ОтветитьI just put my system on line. Some of the settings do not show up. How long show i wait to have all home page and energy information to be available.
ОтветитьHome page shows settings and support and under settings utility rate plan, change w/fi, manage access and my home info.
ОтветитьOn my plan I get free energy between 11am and 2pm. That is very helpful during the winter.
ОтветитьExcellent information & well explained. Thanks!
ОтветитьReally good info, thanks so much for the clear understanding.
ОтветитьDo you need batteries to be able to see how much energy your house used? My app isnt showit all the breakdowns your saying.
Ответитьhow many panels did this system have?
ОтветитьHow do i add my batteries to my app? When i trued ut said it was alfeady registered
ОтветитьI have my power wall configured to go off grid during the time of expensive power, 4pm-9Pm in this area. If, during this time, I want to manually go back on grid how do I do it?
Thanks
dds
My app doesn’t look like this at all – so if you could show us how to set it up from the very beginning and how to add your inverters to the app I’d really appreciate it
Ответитьmy app my powerwall is offline? How do i get it back online? 😃
ОтветитьI've taken one quote and waiting on the second before I decide which vendor to work with. I believe I understood from one of the sales consultants that there is a 10 year warranty on the batteries when in year 10, a properly performing PW3 will only carry 70% of its original capacity. Though I'm planning on moving forward with the install, I have three questions.
1) I understand battery life capacity is always going to degrade over time, if by year 10 the batteries are only producing 70% of what they did on day 1, does this in practice put owners in a position to have to replace the system in order to be adequately functional? If so, what is the approximate cost today for battery replacement?
2) if I have two PW3's will the battery life degrade equally over time or do they degrade at different paces?
3) If the batteries are not providing 70% of their capacity at year 10, how does Tesla compensate the homeowner. Does Tesla provide some sort of pro-rated credit or if not, what do they do?
Great video, thanks!
Does this work if the rental I’m about to move into has solar city? They were bought by Tesla in 16’ and wondering how all that works.
Ответить16k used in a year? you live in a mansion? our annual usage is 2700kwh lol
ОтветитьGreat explanations I couldn’t find your time of use video could you please give me the link. I am in California with PG&E and on Tier 1 plan Thanks
ОтветитьGreat video. I gotta ask; why not charge the car off of solar? Is there not enough power w/AC running?
ОтветитьWhy was the solar panel not charging a battery when there was an outage?
ОтветитьGreat explanation of the Tesla App. Do you have something similar with NEM 3.0 settings? Thx
ОтветитьJust got our Powerwall running. Why does our charge staus keep moving from standby to charging? I can’t imagine this being normal. It’s not fully charged. Could there be a problem?
Ответить39% from the utility seems high to me. Is it?
ОтветитьMy system is new. In the app under my home is the title “standby.” Powewall is 0% charged.
ОтветитьVery good review
ОтветитьWill the EV charging feature apply to a non-Tesla vehicle?
